It’s not my job to ’fix’ someone, and it is really off putting to feel like someone is trying to ‘fix’ me. There are parts of the map I hadn’t experienced or felt connected to, but it doesn’t make that part of the map any less or more important than my own experiences. 

There are people who have lived super similar lives and have similar future goals, and it helps to not make you feel so alone. 

There are people who have lived completely different lives, and their experiences are important too. Reminding myself that the world is bigger than me. 

I don’t really work with families directly, but what I do effects the team. A nice domino effect of how I manage my mental health, my time,  my attitude effects the rest of the team in their responsibilities and how they’re day flows.
