This article talks about how North Korea is doing illegal trade of coal, and fuel among other things. North Korea has been prohibited by the U.S. and the United Nations to trade with the rest of the world as a type of protest to force them to stop their nuclear weapon projects. However, North Korea has found various ways to get pass the sanctions and still manage to meet their trade goals to keep their country running.

This article relates to the lesson that we had on trade. Trade is an essential part of a countries economy and growth. North Korea, in order to not lose hundred of thousands of dollars chose an alternative method to keep earning that money that comes from trade. Although illegal to do trade as they are currently doing it, these methods ensure that North Korea continues to increase and provide their products to other countries.

This article talks about how the tariffs that Donald Trump imposed on China has had a negative effect on the automotive industry. Due to the high tariffs, GM has decided to move their automotive production from the US to Mexico. They're cost of production has increased because they buy their parts from China. They have decided to sell their cars in other countries in order to maintain their profits, they will no longer sell some models in the US. As a result, Americans options for small cars will decline.

This article reminded me of the importance of trade and its effect on globalization. As we learned in class, trade and globalization go hand in hand. When multinational companies, such as General Motors find a country that will reduce their cost of production, they will move their company to that country. By doing so however, they lose a market, but open the doors for new markets and new trade deals.

This article talks about the infrastructure that is being planned to be build in Russia in order to make it more attractive for investors. This infrastructure includes bridges, railroads, and ports which will make trade feasible. This $100 billion dollar project id believed to increase Russia's GDP as well as make it more appealing for other nations to work with them.

This article reminded of trade and its effect on globalization. It is with no doubt that every country is trying their best in having their place on the market, and Russia is not being left behind. Their building of infrastructure not only helps them become more attractive as a nation in terms of trade, but they are also becoming more global in connecting and collaborating with other nations.

This article talks about the importance of having a good location for trade and production. They use crude oil as an example. Due to the unfinished pipelines that should transport crude oil from Canada to Texas. They are losing a lot of money do to the unfinished pipeline while the product is ready to be sent into the market. As a result of the overproduction of crude oil, they are selling the oil at very low prices, sometimes as little as $10 per barrel.

This article reminded me of trade and the importance of having the necessary technology to be able to transport products from one place to the next. The lack of that technology can interfere with the amount of profit a company might receive by selling their product. In addition, by using this article as example, we can also see how having the necessary funds to built new technological advances many times impedes developing nations from making trade available to other nations.

This article talks about how people overlook that the service sector is a growing and important part of trade. It talks about how Adam Smith in " The Wealth of Nations" does not think that the service sector provided much to the economy. However, has time has progressed, the service sector now goes alongside with the production of goods. The article talked about how we have moved from "manufacturing-dominated" to "service-heavy activity" which does our economy good.

This article relates to the topic of trade and economic growth. Although this country grew its economy thanks to the manufacturing business, in modern times, technology has allowed us to move away from that by transferring production elsewhere and increasing other service sectors. Although, as mentioned in the article, it is hard to see the that the service sector bring to our economy, many jobs are generated to fulfill the need for our consumers and trade partners.
