Hagar's perspective- Hurt and angry because Milkman pursued her first and he threw her to the wolves with no warning and expected Hagar to be okay with it because he wrote a note thanking her.

The  way Macon confronted Milkman just shows that his pride was shot and he did not feel any remorse for his actions he just wanted to teach Milkman a lesson about being  " a man "to prove a point 

The respect milkman has for his father never changed which is why he tried apologized to his father. He just felt the way his father acted wasn't okay and he acted on the undying love he had for his mother. I feel like Milkman's perspective seems more plausible because he is not blinded by bias. Macon has something against her because he feels like she stole from him.
