         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. listening to authentic English, spontaneous, fast speech - DIANA (exercises for listening to short segments many times in order to understand how speech changes when it is speeded up) TORTEL article too<br>2. Pronunciation: certain sounds not in FR - /h/ and "th" and /r/ - PERCEPTION, ARTICULATORY PHONETICS (where do your tongue, teeth and lips move to produce each sound)<br>3. Pronunciation of English words with French phonemes/intonation - nasalisation - interference/transfer, NOTICING how English is pronounced, INPUT - hearing the target words often enough<br>4. speaking fluently without notes - assign activities that require spontaneous, unprepared participation, grade on the basis of spontaneous speech. Doing an activity and then repeating it is a good way to build fluency (COGNITIVE LOAD - you can't speak quickly about something you're not sure of and have to pay attention to vocab and syntax)<br><br></div>]]></description>
