On Luke skywalkers quest to defaet the Dark side he encounters many mentor helper figures. The biggest one was Obi-Wan Kanobi. Another one is also yoda. They trained Luke to become the great Jedi he eventually became. These mentors were once Jedi's too,making them steriotypical mentors. Both knew how to defeat the Dark side. Luke had people like Chewey, Han Solo, and Leia to help him also. All of these people helped Luke alot or a little with his success against the Dark Side.Lukes mentors and helpersis similar to a regular hero because based on their experiences they know alot anout the Dark Side.

Luke had many struggles that tried to stop him from defeating the Death Star. First, he had to rescue Princess Leia. By beating the Dark side once, this gave Luke Skywalker a better idea on the dark sides weaknesses. He eventually became a better, smarter jedi that used the force against enemies. Luke aslo had to stop the empire from destroying their own empire. These challenges led to a wiser and stronger person. The challenges he faces on his quest are just like the "hero" archetype because it made him more prepared for his future.

On Luke's abyss occurred when he fought his father, Darth Vador. Luke's preparation with the fight against his father led him to win,but Vador cut his hand off. Luke dropped his light sabor on the ground, then the emperor used the force to injure him with lightning. As a surprise Darth Vador got up and threw the emperor into the deepAbyss killing him quickly. Suddenly, Luke saw Darth Vador injured, as he tried to save him, the meperors lightning was to much and he died right in front of Luke. His abyss is similar to common literature because all of Lukes hard work led to this fight. This was both good and bad for Luke because he defeated the Dark Side but killed his father when he was converting to the good side.

Luke Skywalker first realized his call to adventure when RTD2 and CP3O show luke a projected video of Princess Leia saying she needs to get rescued and "You're my only hope". As all heroes respond, he accepts the call. Obi-Wan Kanobi brings Luke and relays the information to him that they need to rescue the princess from the empire. His call to adventure is similar to other hero's calls because he must face many challenges on his rescue journey.
