I see so much fear of open conflict among staff and admin at my school. Folks tend to lean hard into niceness in order to not rock the boat.

I see patterns of perfectionism within myself. So much internal talk about "not doing enough," comes up when I can't figure out the right thing to say in conflict. I also tend to be judgmental of others who don't respond to situations in ways I think are the right ways. I really just want to feel like my school is a safe space for everyone.

Infighting over resources, including time. Instead of leaning into the humanity, I see people judging, comparing and in competition with each other.. losing sight of students and themselves.

I was raised with perfectionism & defensiveness, and have been working to unlearn them. Trying to let go of one right way, and needing things to be my way. Trying to be more curious about feedback, and using it to grow.

Power hoarding - the admin in my school tends to have all the power, and teachers have less power. Certain groups of teachers have less power due to their immigration status.

I will value competition over cooperation as a natural impulse.

I see patterns of quantity vs quality. Sometimes it appears the quality takes a backseat to quantity. Example testing, curriculum, staffing etc.
