The place that smells like corn fields, and feels like home.

I am from the magnolia tree, the pedaled, blossomed magnolia tree.

I’m from the Thanksmas and strive for no debt

Melissa and Tracy, and Emily.

I am from the supportive and loving.

From getting a dog, and going to Six Flags.

I’m from no credit, Paying for things with money you have.

I’m from LeRoy and Noah Belcher, yellow rice and and Peanut blossom cookies.

From the dare my sister gave me that lead me to breaking my arm, to my parents telling us we're going to Disney, World. I am from Leroy Illinois, I love the guitar and drums.

I have been playing guitar for the last year and a half, and have loved every moment of it. I have been playing drum since 6th grade and I'm now a snare in marching band. Unwind is one of my favorite book series and is written by one of my favorite authors, Neal Shusterman. I have lived in Leroy my whole life. Le Roy, like the rest of Illinois, is surrounded by corn fields. One of my mom's friends lives out in the country and I would go to there house and play in the corn fields. The dog is my chihuahua Boomer. We got him when I was 10, and has been a huge part of my life since. My music video was House of the Rising Sun (The Animals). I chose this song because it was the first song I learned how to play on guitar. I liked writing the poem, it was harder at times, like thinking of foods that relate to your family. I did however find the plant semi-easy. The magnolia plant was the type of tree that was at the house I grew up in.
