So relis is this little kid (17) living on the streets by himself because his parents kicked him out as soon as he turned 16 and he absolutely fucking hates the king and the way the homeless are treated and stuff so he wishes every night for some miracle to happen that means he gets a home and the king gets nothing at all ever again.

So one night, Relis is visited by SDE. She tells him that she can help him overthrow Golathi near-immediately and make him the king instead. Relis obviously agrees after many questions and not wanting him dead, only imprisoned. So, ((ok this bit is based off of prettier when youre broken)) SDE takes the form of a pretty lady called Cecily who only Relis can see and in the middle of the night they go to the castle bc cecily can warp space and time and teleport and stuff bc she IS the void**  so they go to the castle and Relis blacks out briefly and suddenly he’s stabbed the king twenty four times in the chest and whoops guess he’s king now

And so he’s king and cecily disappears saying something about her payment being due soon but relis doesn’t listen bc he can finally fix everything!! And so he’s been steadily working at stuff for about six months and he’s a popular king and everyone loves him kinda and then suddenly he starts seeing shadows that aren’t there and feeling like someone’s standing behind him and breathing down his neck and he can’t sleep because these horrible horrible pictures flash up in his head and he starts being more snappy with his colleagues and Aganeem’s the only one who isn’t “”secretly”” bitching about him and the media hears about it and suddenly Relis is this shady dude instead of the sunshine and daffodils king he was a few days ago

And then he finds jean, who is alone in a forest cave and roughed up and absolutely fucking terrified and relis knows exactly how she feels. So she tells him all about SDE (who called herself Soren to Jean) and how she has to change everything to get away from him and Relis immediately offers her a home and an identity change, he can sort out id and appearance changes and all that but it’s ok you can choose exactly who you are, so Jean becomes Pidge Akakios and Relis immediately tries to make him feel as welcome as possible and gets him a whole bunch of guy clothes and a great haircut and helps him dye his hair and bind safely and all that stuff and pidge is so grateful but relis is still not getting enough sleep and is constantly on edge and so sometimes he just gets frustrated and takes it out on pidge and he feels so so bad when pidge gets twitchy around him after and FUCK.
