Hey! I'm Beth and I'm one of the Learning Facilitators working for Corporate Nursing. I studied Health and Social Care in college but quickly realised that university wasn't the route I wanted to go down, so I took 2 years out to travel as much as possible, getting as far as New Zealand. It was such an eye opening experience and I quickly realised after returning to the UK that I wanted to work with people and helping people. I started my career with the NHS just over 3 years ago with no care background through the Healthcare Apprenticeship. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and skills with others and finding new and more effective ways of working. I look forward to working with and supporting you all through this course!

Hi I'm Nicki, I have worked at the Leeds teaching hospitals for 10 years. I started as a band 2 apprentice on a ward in the abdominal medicine and surgery department. During my time on the ward I also did the band 3 apprenticeship which helped me to get this job with the workforce and education team. There are lots of opportunities within the trust to keep learning and move forward. I am passionate about patient centred care and doing the job the right way and hope to be able to teach you all good practise.

I'm Courtney, one of the learning facilitators working for corporate nursing.

I have over 6 years of experience within the NHS. I first started my career when I was just 18 years old as a Maternity Support Worker, caring for mother and babies has been the biggest passion of mine and a career I will cherish forever.

During 2020, I took on a secondment as a Patient Flow Coordinator within the A&E department at St James Hospital. During this job role, I was able to expand my knowledge to a wider variety due to working with multidisciplinary teams.

I started this marvellous job over 10 years ago in Italy working in hospital, nursing homes and private patients. Arrived 8 years ago in United Kingdom for a better future, I had noticed that sharing work experience, assess and assist new colleagues was not just amazing, but also a key role in my job to maintain good practice.

Google classroom is a classroom where your able to access all the material that you have been taught over the past 4 weeks. Including the care certificate workbooks and powerpoints etc.

Who are the Workforce and Education Hub Team & What do we do?

The Workforce and Education Hub Team are here to support our Trainee Clinical Support Workers and Apprentice Clinical Support Workers through their studies, completion of the Care Certificate and also pastoral support when starting clinically on the wards.

We currently run a New To Care Programme for Trainee Clinical Support Workers which includes 4 weeks training programme to help build your knowledge and skills before starting your career within the NHS. We will also support you to work through the 15 Standards of the Care Certificate. This is a 6-month Preceptorship framework to support you in your new role.
