Step 1: Find a quiet room where there won’t be any background noise. Set up a speaker or headphones on a table. Use a measuring tape to mark a spot 2 meters away from the speaker where each person will sit.

Step 2: Pick a sound to use, like a beep or tone, and make sure it plays at the same volume and pitch every time. Test it before starting to make sure it works properly.

Step 3: Gather people of different ages to test, like kids, teens, adults, and older people. Make sure you explain the experiment to them and get their permission to participate.

Step 4: Have each person sit in the chair at the marked spot. Tell them to raise their hand or say "yes" if they hear the sound. Let them know the sound will only play once.

Step 5: Play the sound at the set volume and wait to see if the person hears it. Write down if they heard it or not on a chart. Also, write down their age.

Step 6: Do the same thing for all the people you’re testing. Make sure you keep the volume, distance, and sound the same for everyone.

Step 7: After testing everyone, look at your chart to see if people of different ages heard the sound or not.

Step 8: Use what you found to figure out if age makes a difference in whether someone can hear the sound.
