Hi Atty. Pandi, happiest teacher's day to you. We could have greeted you with our warm smiles and loudest cheers personally had it not been bc of this pandemic. I cannot thank you enough for teaching us with so much love, enthusiasm, and passion. It is rare to come across a professor whose "I understand your situation" is more than just words; whose encouragement transcends the virtual barriers and is heartily felt; whose patience is more than all of our patience combined. It is during your lectures that I would not mind overstaying just to hear you out explaining with all your heart the facets of the cases - especially the ones closest to your sentimental heart. It really broke me internally when I had to raise last minute the concern about conflicting schedule for the quiz - it felt like I was hurting a "good father" who has always been very open and welcoming to our concerns. It hurt badly that I disappointed you. But then, being the ever caring and considerate Atty. Pandi that you are, you still chose to accept and move on. Going through the rigorous readings of out of this world cases would not have been challengingly fun without you who breathed life to it at every single discussion. My wish for your teacher's day (HAHA) is good health and that you may be a blessing to many more students like me. May you continue to teach minds, touch hearts, and transform lives, Atty. Pandi! Happy Teacher's Day again. :)

Our class is very lucky to have you as our prof because you're the only prof who is available for chika2 after class. We may have small chika with our other profs but we're more confident in making chika in our PIL gc because we can all get along even in topics not related to the lesson. Without the way you humanize the cases Atty, we would just treat the cases as another part of the reading list. We can see your passion in teaching, and it has piqued my interest to the point that I wanted to be more inspired so I did a quick google search to see what other topics you discuss outside of USC Law, only to find a series of very well written poems and letters 😂 We appreciate you Atty! I just want you to know that you are amazing. Amazing because despite the lengthiness, the wordiness and technicalities of the cases of the international law and international law per se, you are able to bring them to life. You are able to make us feel. You never forget to remind us to empathize and sympathize. You remind us that before we become lawyers, we should become humans- humans who are able to empathize to other's plight.

Thank you for this because sometimes we forget to be human. :(

Thank you so much atty Pandi for the learnings you shared. Truth be told, I was really struggling with PIL because I could not really understand. But then, I was thankful that you are my professor in PIL because I was more determined to understand the lesson and study more so I can also give more in PIL. You made PIL fun and bearable attorney. I told myself that it would really be my loss if I will not strive hard in PIL right now because the professor was too kind, considerate and understanding. Quitting PIL had once crossed my mind attorney but the encouragements you gave helped me stand up and study more. You gave us more knowledge not just about the topics you gave us to study, but you always answer our questions kindly even if sometimes it's out of the topic already and way beyond the class hours. Before when I watched Miss Universe, I would snigger when a contestant would wish everyone “WORLD PEACE...” “What a cliche.., I thought.”

Aiming for World Peace is not cliche any longer. After my PIL class under your guidance, I wish for the same thing and I understand how painstakingly hard to achieve it. Thank you for enlightening us about Public International Law —how it impacts our lives and the entire world.

I have countless of realisation & heartaches about the PIL cases, especially the current status of our Muslim brothers/sisters in Mindanao. You’re really good in Storyshowing that I can almost see & feel the cases that you’ve explained.

I’m truly inspired to learn, engage myself more in our local culture, and help in educating others (in my own little ways). I hope I can see the beauty of Marawi City with my own eyes, soon.

Atty., Rashid—-you’re such an amazing and inspirational individual. Super grateful to be in your PIL class this year. Thank you for touching our lives.

Thank you for creating a class ethos that made us feel that each one of us deserved an equal chance to pass/succeed. And for making us feel that we are individually important. You are brilliant at communicating your learnings, passion & enthusiasm with us. The international law cases I struggled to understand were made easier to comprehend when you retold them. It motivated me to read thru the cases (ofc, with few skips) bahalag batig font, then bati ug format ang text coz I know when you connect these events together in class, the feeling is like opening a new gift. Na, "hala, naa ra ako wa nasabtan ay. Mao diay tu. Wow. Brighta nila oi". As they said, you breathe life to the cases. You made the topics captivating & very memorable. I really appreciate your dedication to your craft.

Thank you for your endless patience in repeating your explanations on a certain topic when you feel that we didn't really get it. And for understanding and relating that we aren't superhumans and we too, are struggling behind the cam. Your motivational pieces of advice are seared my head. "Tibay ng loob. Lakas ng loob" are just a few of the words we've already heard before but they don't have the same impact as when you said them. Thank you, again. We are truly lucky to be in your class.
