         <description><![CDATA[<div>I noticed that the writing standards seem to be more of a focus and have gone back to the realistic way to teach writing:  prewriting, drafting, and revising/editing.  Writing seems to have lost some of it focus over the years since the Seventh Grade writing test has been removed.  I think it is important for students of all ages to write.  They have an abundance of technology knowledge, but lack simple communication skills including writing.</div>]]></description>
