The scientific of a python is Pythonidae. They are considered reptiles, because they lay eggs and are cold blooded. Pythons can live up to 30 years and their size range is from inches small up to 18 feet long. They have cat-like pupils and little claw-like bits of bone. Extraordinarily they are constrictors and squeeze their prey till their heart stops. Python live in rainforests, savannas, and deserts. This can be in Africa and Asia. Pythons are considered reptiles, because they lay eggs, they are cold-blooded, and breathe air. Surprisingly reptiles eat 4 - 5 times a year. These animals have many adaptations to help them survive. One of these adaptations is its forked tongue that allows it to see and sense around it. Another adaptation is, it is a constrictor and squeezes the life out of its prey.
