Sharks can detect electric and magnetic field in the ocean because they have special sensing organs called ampullae of Lorenzini that helps them. This ampullae is jelly-filled canals on their heads that are extremely sensitive. It is guessed that the sharks use their ampullae to find their prey (the muscles of the prey makes electric field when they contract). Sharks may also use them to get around in the water. A shark repellent have been made for scuba diver that sends out strong electric signals which then will irritate the sharks sensitive ampullae.

Homing pigeons have these tiny magnetic particles in their beaks. They're mostly famous for being able to navigate over long distances. Their navigating skill is so reliable that they were used in WW1 and WW2 to deliver messages over enemy lines. It is also discover from researchers that these pigeons have specialized cells in birds' eye that may help them see the Earth's magnetic field .
