In the case of Racism, many white people don't see the perspective of those more unfortunate at all, and are safe to assume everyone lives the way they do, which leads to biases.

Since the more fortunate are shielded from seeing the less fortunate's POV, they may build biasses over time which do not reflect the actual situation of the less fortunate. For example, the homeless are often stereotyped as wasting their money on beer or gambling. And while those people do exist, the majority of homeless weren't there because of alcohol. And as such people who need financial aid more than anyone else are going to be less likely to get that help because the people that can help them believe they deserve it.

By teaching kids about these stereotypes and biases that can form, we can help to keep these kids better informed about them and they can avoid them. Especially when the parents of those children can help reinforce actual DEI (not to be confused with the organisation of the same name), racism could be eliminated entirely in that community within a single generation.
