It explains that are differences that set us apart, in race, gender, physical forms, financial background, beliefs, and cultures. Despite having differences from one another we do have one similarity, all of us are humans. So why should any of us be treated differently, even though underneath we are the same?

Here in Mindanao, we have diverse cultures, beliefs, race forms, and gender. But as I observe, we are trying to respect and understand each other's differences like in ADDU. Although all of us do not have the exact origins, genders, beliefs, cultures, and language (that we are used to using in our daily lives), we respect, try to understand, and adjust to one another, so all of us will study together comfortably and effectively. Hoping that somehow discrimination will not spread and eventually stop by doing the said actions by ourselves and sharing with others about this social issue and its solution.

Reyes, Christian D. Mina and Ronina D. Asis

DATE PUBLISHED: December 2017

KEY INFO: This research paper focuses around the inequalities amongst and within the ethnic groups of the Philippines. The research paper examines the opportunities of ethnic groups in accessing basic services such as education, electricity, safe water, and sanitation. The paper also studied and went through the patterns of inequality in Mindanao. The study showed that there is a significant imbalance among and within ethnic groups concerning opportunities in accessing basic services. Muslim IP's are shown to be the worst-off ethnic groups, while the nonindigenous/non-Muslim groups are shown to be the more well-off groups in the Philippines. This study shows that cultural discrimination might be present among the people of the Philippines.

This research paper is one of the many research papers that fights against inequalities in the Philippines, that came from a social media platform, which is the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, with their websites and such.
