I went to a place which was very calming. My experience in that place was full of different movement of my body, brain. I was going through mixed feelings, emotion. I was listening to the sounds of birds, foot steps crushing dry autumn leaves, listening to whistling and whispering of wind in my ears, observing movement of people, trees, a beautiful butterfly moving around. This whole experience make me feel refresh. All this experience made me went to an other world, which is so different from our every day busy world. It gave me time to relax and enjoy the nature around us. This experience let me listen to the melody that bird make with their voice, rustling of the trees with wind, as i was listening to the wind.

when i went out to make a video, i was sitting and observing my surrounding it make me realize about this land we are sitting on. Thinking about place in a different way and putting deep connection to the land as of aboriginal people will make connection to their land. they have a deep history about this land "country has origins and a future; it exists both in and through time"( Walking with place by Catherine Hamm).

Looking at the two birds make me think what they are doing? are they talking to each other about that orange and white feather ? who this fearther belong to? it make me do the deep listening as Murray Schafer said" when you listen to the sound scape it becomes quite miraculous". Deep listening occurs when you focus, perceive, actively attending, interpreting and responding.

singing was never easy but looking at the butterfly make me write a poem and sing it too as victor wotten said " your born musical". That singing make me realize it's not that hard to sing you just need to listen as Victor Wotten said" to be a good musician you need to be a good listener". That in the above picture is bowing down for me when i finish my song.

This experience enriches my future teaching practices it shows me how can i connect my self with nature. which will help me take that practice to early childhood to connect children with nature through play. Learning that happens in natural environment is more affective. This experience prove that " environment serves" as a third teacher".(Wilson ,Ruth, Nature and young children; creating play and learning in natural environments)."soul enriching" experiences in nature to grow as a complete human being. I will provide more opportunities for children to engage with nature by going on nature walks, doing bush kinder, spending day at kinder mostly outdoors. while outdoors with children it will give me opportunity to take to them about this country on which we are on and making connection with aboriginal people and their story telling as said in Dadirri "to listen is to connect".
