We use sports as a means to educate and get to know ourselves, and we also want to get youngsters out of their comfort zone.

I've been working with kids for 20 years, mostly organizing camps and exchange programs and also teaching. The main goal of our association (EUNIORS ISE) is to create a lot of opportunities for kids to grow in several ways, for instance, through sports, travelling, gaining language knowledge.

I am eager to meet you all and to be able to have as many new aspects of dealing with youngsters as possible. Thanks for the Slovenian team to make it happen! 🫶

The Association I represent “Gente sem Tabaco" is a small-scale, non-governmental Youth Association founded on October 15, 1999, which has currently 134 members. Its main objectives are, among others, to promote, with the collaboration of public and private agencies, the fight against smoking, alcoholism, and drugs; foster healthy living habits and promote environmental and civic education in young people, in a perspective of sustainability. Thus, it develops cultural, pedagogical, social, sportive, environmental protection, social, solidarity and training activities.

Throughout its existence, The Youth Association "Gente Sem Tabaco" has developed a diverse set of activities which focuses mainly on the Environment, Outdoor Activities and Citizenship areas. The Association always contemplates in its Annual Activity Plan the dynamization and organization of activities that promote healthy habits, respect for the environment / nature and citizenship, including walking; canoeing; cleaning of outdoor spaces; days of environmental education; educational games, among others. 

I believe strongly in the educational power of sports and love to combine social and political issues in my pedagogical work. I strongly argue that young people if provided with the right tools will be able to engage in improving the world.

My name is Ina. I am a social pedagogue, youth worker at heart and the principal. My work is, though it admitably has its challenges, my passion. I have found my home away form home in Jarše Youth Home where I share this passion with my collegues and feel lucky to be here.

I have been a youth worker for the past 26 years and currently i am working with families who have been impacted by alcohol and/or drug abuse, particularly the young people living within these families.

My organisation ASCERT is one of the main charities in Northern Ireland supporting people whose lives have been impacted by drugs and/or alcohol

Our mission is very simply to address drug and alcohol related issues by reducing harm and supporting positive change.

Our vision is to have a society that is protected from the harm that can result from alcohol and drug use. To do this we need to address alcohol and drug use directly and also the other related social factors that contribute to substance use problems such as mental health, poverty, employment and housing.

We believe that we can do this through approaches that result in the prevention of substance use problems at individual, community and societal levels, providing effective intervention that supports positive change that reduces the harm caused by substance use and supporting recovery. 

My name is Céline D'Hont, I live in Belgium at the French frontier, in the Ardennes forest. I am 37 years old and the mother of a 10 year old boy. Since 2017 I have been participating in the creation and working for an alternative democratic school L'Arbre des Possibles (The Tree of Possibilities), where kids and teenagers spend at least half their time outside and choose what they do and learn. Since September I work as a teacher and Erasmus+ manager for Le Lycée Voyageur (The Travelling High School), a nomadic school in a bus. You will also meet its coordinator, Marie De Muijlder.

My talk in the conference will be about open schooling and the importance, for young people, of socialisation, the diversity of experiences and people met, freedom, and the relationship with nature.

For 13 years I work as a nature facilitator and teacher at The Living Waters organisation. I welcome people of all ages in the forest, giving them opportunities to observe it and learn from it; I teach about European wildlife, sustainable living, herbalism, natural medicines, cold water, survivalist techniques,...

Since my university studies (Masters in Anthropology and Linguistics finished in 2011), I have been as well travelling, meeting various kinds of people, and observing landscapes and the interactions between humans and the natural world. Socio-environmental issues are one of my main focus. I have been studying as well psychology, NLP and various therapeutic methods, nature guide courses, ecological and religious cultures of the world, socio-linguistics,...

I love interacting with people and animals, exploring, walking in beautiful places, reading, making music (singing, guitar, drum), dancing, the sun, rivers,... and most of all being with my son.

I have been working in social work field for more than 14 years. Currently, I am working with young people who are at risk trafficking preparing them for independent life. Besides that, I enjoy working in Erasmus+ filed, participating and organizing projects like trainings, seminars and study visits.

I am Yasin from Turkiye.

I am trying to teach English at a Social Sciences High School by adopting NFE methods into formal education even if I used to hate English when  I was at secondary and high school.

During university years I started to work in Tourism Sector as an Operation Assistant then Operation and Organisation Manager in Antalya.

In 2007, I was appointed as an English Teacher in Ministery of Education of Turkiye. When I started school as a teacher, I met with Life Long Learning Programme. I started with Comenius and Grundtvig Projects. In 2011, I moved to Balıkesir (city in western part of Turkiye) and went on with Leonardo Da Vinci VET Projects.

In 2014,  I passed to EU Office of Balıkesir governorate as an EU Project Expert to lead the Project in our city and started to be interested in Projects in Youth Area.

In 2016, in order to work in a more free way I left the EU Office and found our NGO Association For Youth With Youth (In Turkish-Gençlik İçin Gençlerle Derneği)  by 11 teachers and 17 youngsters with the aim of fighting against social exclusion, social inequality, promoting young and empowering young people to improve themselves.

During the school term, I am going on projects with my school and with my NGO in summer.

I am going to make a presentation about adopting NFE methods to Formal Education.

I am Yoana from Bulgaria and for the past 7 years I have been working in the field of prevention of violent extremism across Europe and abroad. My experience include conducting research and trainings on various interrelated topics, particularly concerning at-risk youth. I am passionate about discussing future geopolitical and socio-economic trends, for the purposes of finding effective solutions. Looking forward to connecting with you.

I am Tatiana from Luxembourg. I work as a social pedagogue at the national youth agency (SNJ) for nearly 20 years. I have been doing network with youth organizations, after this I worked with youngsters making a voluntary service in Luxembourg. Since ten years I am responsible for a workshop for youngsters who are at risk.

I will present you our workshops on the conference.

The main themes of our workshops are volunteer participation, up cycling and creativity.

I am interested in good practices about youth exchanges as I would like to organize one for next year.

I`m 41 years young, living and working at city of Lohja. My profession is youth worker, especialiced on substance prevention. I´m Master of Arts and done my master thesis about history of substance prevention in Finland. Besides this I´m also qualified primary and secondary school teacher.

I´ve been working in my recent work since 2012 and no plans to leave. My organization is Lohja Youth work, which is a communal, non-profit, and non-religious organisation that provides activities and support for young people between the ages 12 and 29 in the City of Lohja. Our main goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people, identify and reach out to the youth at risk, and to mitigate risk factors in collaboration with other professionals.

When I´m not working, I take care my small garden, spend time in on of my family´s summer cottage by the lake, snowboarding in Finnish Lapland or spend time at my friend´s horse stable.

He has dedicated more than 12,000 volunteer hours to various civil society organizations, community-based institutions, government agencies and ministries in Egypt. Its focus is on qualifying young people for volunteer work and helping to develop their skills. Abdul Halim's efforts have influenced more than 4,000 young people from different age groups in many civil society organizations and Youth Institutions. In addition, he served as vice-chairman of the board of Trustees of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation for development from 2018 to 2022 and then was appointed executive director of the Mediterranean Youth Foundation in 2024 .

I have some hobbies like singing and sports like taekwondo.

It is noteworthy that the Mediterranean Youth Foundation is a youth foundation that has been established to work with young people of different ages and various Mediterranean countries since 2018 until now

• Obtaining the King Hamad Award (King of the Kingdom of Bahrain) for youth empower- ment to achieve the sustainable develop- ment goals - the youth empowerment category.

• Obtaining the United Nations and BMW Prize for Innovation and Intercultural Dialogue (Inter- cultural Innovation Hub - IIH) 2021.

I am an individual who pursued his passion and made a career in the field of art. I am currently the Artistic Director of Bornova Municipal Theatre and lead innovative artistic projects through Theatron Art. I have been contributing as a Theatre Instructor and Youth Mentor at BAL Education Foundation since 2007.

My experiences so far have led me to travel around the world, always returning to Izmir enriched by these experiences and with something valuable to offer my community. Exposure to different educators and working methods in various countries such as Japan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Kenya, Brasil and European Countries has enabled me to approach youth education with the cultural sensitivity and awareness necessary for effective knowledge exchange. This became particularly evident when I led the Turkish Youth Delegation of the Ship for World Youth, an initiative of the Cabinet Office of Japan, where achieving intercultural understanding is a key goal. These achievements have always provided me with a clear orientation, especially in my work with young people.

I am very excited to be coming together with you at this conference. Networking, connecting, exchanging ideas, and building valuable relationships always motivate me to participate in such international activities.

My association is called EcoFairly from Strasbourg in France. We aim to promote sustainable development, environmental education, upcycling economy and arts. Our main actions are running through Erasmus+ projects.

I am focused on promoting and practicing peace, with ourselves, others and nature through sustainable collaborations and networking. I strongly believe in power of WILL and human values.
