My happiness moment today was being exploiring the island and finding idealic place and moments. We found some really nice cliffs and small beaches. We were lucky to find those places and enjoying it together. Like this beautiful view from a high cliff.

My happiness moment today was the moment when we three Austrians met the four Dutch people surprisingly in Petit-Canal.

And according to the picture you sent...the one with the peeing...I had this happy moment too 😉

My happy moment was when I observed a hermit crab walk around in the sand at the beach we went to. It was a bit bigger than the one I posted here a couple of days ago. It just walked around in the sand, largely unaware of what was going on around it. Also, it left a really nice pattern in the sand.

Today we explored the island by car. We walked on a cliff, took Evelijn to Le Petite Canal where we saw two adorable kittens and met our Austrian friends. We took a swim at a beautiful tiny beach and had lunch at McDonald's. We ended this great day in Saint-Francois with my favourite drink.

Today was full of happy moments - honest conversations, getting your meal after what seemed like an eternity or being able to use the toilet flush again after the water has been cut off during the night. It made me realise that in everyday life, we take many things for granted that are not available elsewhere. Not having someone to talk to, not having enough food, not having enough water or no water at all are part of many people’s reality, so I should not take it for granted.

We took a trip to Petit-Canal, where we saw „Les Marches des Esclaves“, which made me feel quite sad, but at the same time reminded me that I have the privilege of freedom - again, something I should be happy about and not take for granted.

Today, we went on a wonderful road trip around the island.

My happy moments:

I saw a very special cat with two different colors.
We arrived at the prison near Petit Canal at the exact same time as the three ladies from Austria.
As always, I had a great laugh with Evelijn, Hilgo, and Punt.
We stopped at various beautiful viewpoints along the way.
We discovered a beautiful and quiet little beach.
In the evening, we enjoyed delicious fried chicken with piri piri sauce, which we had been looking forward to all afternoon.

In short: a wonderful day, full of happy moments that will later become beautiful memories. 🍀🫶🙏

My happy moment was starting the day with breakfast, not knowing what the day would bring. We had no specific plans at first. We went driving around the island and found beautiful spots everywhere by accident. We went to a viewing point with a route all the way down. We didn’t know what was there, but we ended up at a really nice beach where we took a swim eventhough we didn’t bring our stuff from the car. It was exactly what we needed. That made my day. We also had a lot of fun during our trip!
