Although there are many fascinating facts about the Dominican Republic here are six I found the most intriguing. The first fact is that although the Dominican Republic borders one of the poorest countries in the world, Haiti, the Dominican Republic has a stable government and a stable amount of wealth. The second fun fact on the Dominican is that they are known for their golf courses placed on islands. The third fact is that the Dominican Republic has a very large amount of humpback whales swimming nearby their shores. There are two types of stones can be found in The Dominican Republic that are yet to be found anywhere else on Earth. The fifth fact on the Dominican Republic is that on the flag there is a cross or plus and in the middle there is a bible. The Dominican Republic's flag is the only flag to have a Bible on it. The sixth fact is that there is a church found in the Dominican Republic that is known as the oldest church in the Americas.
