Today at securement training I met the Director of Training, Chris Cousins. He has been in the trucking industry for over 20 years. He is also a firearms instructor and teaches MMA, which I thought was cool!

Sometimes it's nice to get out of the office and enjoy life a little bit. Here are some of the guys I work with at the annual Wildwood Beach 5k. I was lucky enough to get second place in my age group of 20-29. Our boss also took us out for a nice lunch after at a restaurant called Mudhen, 10/10 food!

Last day of Day Camp!

We wrapped up the last day of Day Camp yesterday! The crafts were loved by all as well as the entertainment throughout the week. We played many games of red rover, kickball and did relay races. I got to be a team captain and we won 7-2 in games. This has overall been a lovely experience being a part of the planning and execution of this program.

Though I don’t have a picture for this, I learned this week that the stock market does not trade on Juneteenth since it was a national holiday! Employees in our office had the day off or took half a day if they had to come in since our office trades and monitors the financial market.

Warehouse Walkthrough

Our sales team makes it a point to go walk through the warehouse at least 2 times a day in order to keep a healthy relationship with the people who work on the floor. Here you can see the different types of metal we buy/sell. In the boxes there are tungsten turnings, the drums contain either scrap or drill bits, and in the white bags it is metal powder.

My internship is in Reading, PA, which has a very high population of Spanish speakers. Our office is one of the first people see when they come in our big complex, and the front desk frequently directs people to where they need to be. Yesterday I was able to use my Spanish to help three ladies who came to the office looking to apply for jobs. Since I am new and am not familiar with all the areas, we did a little digging and I was able to get them where they needed to be. It was a nice break from my office work!

Tomorrow is my last day at my internship. It is crazy it was over so fast. I gave my presentation about my experience with the internship. I got offered a full-time position as an ADP Insurance Agent selling workers compensation starting when I graduate in December. This experience has been life changing and I am super grateful!

One really cool thing that we do in our office is pull up zoom meetings for our clients on this big tv! Since we have multiple offices with different advisors, it is often easier for everyone to hop on zoom. I am usually in charge of pulling the meeting up!
