They are 1.5 times more likely than whites in the USA.

Racist zoning policies and discriminatory lending practices, have turned communities of color. Especially low-income and working-class communities of color have turned into sacrifice zones, where residents are forced to breathe polluted air.

Environmental racism is the disproportionate impact of environmental pollution or hazards on marginalized communities. I think it affects black communities the most vulnerable because they often face limited access to resources and political power.

3 things I can do to protect myself from air pollution are staying inside with the windows closed (when the air quality is bad), avoiding heavily trafficked roads, and staying far away from harmful gases.

These train rails, factories etc.. have been located in pour areas where it has been causing health problems like they mentioned family members have passed away from cancer due to the amount of pollution they are breathing everyday. I believe this problem should be talked about more so others are aware of this situation and take action by protesting and also theirs people that have bigger power that could help the people out.

The major pollutants are ozone (O3), particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and lead (Pb).

The Inflation Reaction Act reinforced that carbon dioxide emitted from fossil fuels is an air pollutant and that the EPA has the authority, and responsibility, to regulate it.

Biden had to fix the environmental actions that Trump had taken away and has successfully reversed some of them.
