Personalized learning is present at a micro and macro scale. At a micro scale, PL looks like differentiated tools (e.g. graphic organizers), differentiated time (online vs. analog), and even varied content. On a macro scale, PL looks like planning out units and years of study that allow for a different access points, different methods of study, and differing levels of engagement.
