1
Title: How to live pasionately no matter your age
Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/isabel_allende_how_to_live_passionately_no_matter_your_age
Reflection:
Actually, I'm not sure why I choosed this topic to watch because I haven't got that old to think about death. Perhaps, I can just remember what the speaker said so that when I get too old to live passionately, I can get passion again. Also, I hope I can start to be passionate from now on, for sometimes I feel boring and helpless about life. Even the woman can live passionately and happily, I believe I can, too. I consider that the strong spirit and the positive attitude can help me not only in the future but also at this moment if I'm willing to.
2
Title: How to make stress your friend
Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/kelly_mcgonigal_how_to_make_stress_your_friend
Reflection:
This video is very helpful for me because I'm easy to get stressed. It seems that stress is always in my life no matter what age I am at. The video dispeled my myth. Just like what the speaker said, I saw stress as an enemy and it was harmful for my health. However, we have another choice: we can believe stress is a friend and live with it in harmony. If we change our mind, even though it is impossible to distroy our stress, we don't need to challenge it any more. That will be easier for us.
3
Title: The power of believing that you can improve
Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/carol_dweck_the_power_of_believing_that_you_can_improve?language=se
Reflection:
I agree with the idea of "yet" in this video because it makes me think that "I just haven't done yet" instead of "I'm a failure"or "I can't do that". That is, I can be more positive if I keep this thought in my mind. Even though it is not the first time I hear about growth mindest, the speech still encouraged me. Maybe I didn't cultivate my growth mindest from the praise my parents gave to me, but I can praise myself in the way suggested by this video.
4
Title: There's more to life than being happy
Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/emily_esfahani_smith_there_s_more_to_life_than_being_happy
Reflection:
After watching this video, I think to a question I have been confusing: why the older we get, the less happiness we can feel. Through this video, I realize that I should do more meaningful things or give more meaning to what I'm doing.
5
Title: 3 questions to ask yourself about everything you do
Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/stacey_abrams_3_questions_to_ask_yourself_about_everything_you_do
Reflection:
I think it is right time for me to watch this video because recently the things I have to do have been much more than I have ever had. Whenever I think I'm busy, I would get tired of everything and almost lose my gaol. The 3 questions are helpful when I was too tired to go forward. In addition, I think these questions are more important for students in college because our society always tells us to study hard and get good grades, then we'll be successful, so we don't even know what we really want. The truth is we should know what we want first, then we can know what the successis for us.
6
Title: How to believe in yourself
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbkFA1Biva0
Reflection:
The idea that impressed me the most is that nurture your nature. That is, the answer of the question that how to believe in yourself is to know yourself. It is so crucial for me to discover myself because I will get out into the workplace soon. If I take much time to think that I'm aweful and reject to try new things, I would lose more and more confidence. I　need to learn just be brave, and become the person I'd like to be.
7
Title: Getting stuck in the negative
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XFLTDQ4JMk
Reflection:
I think I can deeply understand what "negatives" is. It was almost my daily life when I was in high school. As growing up, joy is getting shorter. Sometimes I didn't know how to stop the negative situation, and it furstrateed me a lot. I made myself to think more grateful things and reminded myself be positive. But now, I realize the better way to deal with my negative emotion is to accept it and embrace it.
8
Title: How to get your brain to focus
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu4Yvq-g7_Y
Reflection:
It was an important ability to get focus, for we have to response to more and more things and cope with them more and more efficient. Nowadays, we live in a surroundings with much stimulation like smartphones, computers, and tablet which take a huge part in our life. Undoubtedly, the first we need to learn is to control ourselves and self-control will be benefitial over our whole life.
