Billy loved strawberries. One day, he went to his aunt’s house to pick some. As he reached for a big red strawberry, it suddenly wiggled! A puff of pink smoke appeared, and a girl with strawberry-colored hair stood in front of him, smiling.

Complications:

Billy gasped. "W-Who are you?" The girl giggled. "You picked me, so you’re lucky now!" At first, Billy didn’t believe her, but then strange things started happening. He got a perfect score on his test without studying, found money on the ground, and got extra ice cream. But soon, he realized everything was too easy.

Resolution:

Billy wasn’t having fun anymore. "I don’t think I want magic luck," he told Strawberry. She smiled. "Then my job is done!" With a wink, she turned back into a strawberry in his hand.

Reorientation:

Instead of eating it, Billy planted the strawberry in his yard. He worked hard on his own and felt proud of himself. But sometimes, when his strawberry plant bloomed, he thought he heard a tiny giggle in the wind.
