We support the realist view. As the realist view states, international law plays a key role in the international system, albeit a limited one, and it must be limited. It can support a standard norm for the activities of individual states in globalization, while the role of international law is limited because it also needs to respect the sovereignty of states. And international law receives limitations as a result of the dominance of powerful countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom. Therefore, realist view is more suitable to describe its situation that it is both necessary and limited in its role

Q1:
realist view:
international law are influenced by state interests. most realists agree that international law plays a important role in the world., but it also limited especially when disputes happened between powerful states and other states. International law can be seen as the collection of a moral and behavioural norms, rather than the law that can be forced and encated at the national level. Besides, only ultra-realists think there is no existence of international law.

liberal view:
In liberal view, international law can provide a framework of ethical principles that all of states and individuals should obey; it can reflect the common interests that states should be bound by; in addition, it can maintain peace. Therefore, international law could make nations more interdependece. and leads to cooperation between them.

critical view:
The interests and behaviours of states always change over time, and there are a lot of interests that are not same between states, and which may be conflicted. In additon, legal languages have different meaning which can lead to the conflict between nations' interests. Furthermore, international law reflects patriarchal biases; and tends to an expression of western global dominance; and might be influenced by racism and colonialism. Therefore, the inherent nature of international law is not stable.

Q2:
I support the realist view, although international law can be operated by ICJ, but it still have limited influences in powerful states such as the USA and France. But it still a good framwork and norms of moral principal which can inflenece most of states and fit many states' common interests to some extent.
