Today, we are often overwhelmed by worldly matters and various responsibilities, such as university assignments or organizational tasks. These commitments sometimes divert us from fulfilling our primary duty as students of knowledge, especially the duty to learn and practice religious knowledge.

One of the blessings I am truly grateful for as a student is the opportunity to attend Usrah 1 classes, guided by our facilitator, Akhi Haikal from the Faculty of Education. Through this class, I have gained many valuable lessons that, in shaa Allah, will benefit not only myself but also my family and the wider community in the future.

For me personally, Usrah 1 has become a place of rest and spiritual recharge from the noise and exhaustion of academic life. In this class, I am able to focus on understanding the true meaning of usrah and reflect deeply on significant hadiths, particularly the well-known Hadith Jibril. This hadith is very important for us to understand and apply in our daily lives, as it lays the foundation of our faith and practice.

Adab is very important for Muslims.

It is one of the fundamentals of Muslim behavior. Adab means having good manners and akhlaq (character). Adab is not only about how we treat ourselves, but it also includes our behavior towards other human beings, animals, and even plants.

In this poster, our group collaborated to explore the concept of adab towards society and neighbors. We divided the responsibilities among ourselves, and each group member focused on a specific part of adab.

My task was to explore adab towards society. I focused on its importance and how we can practice it in our daily lives.

Personally, I feel that this assignment is more than just a class task, it is a chance for me to learn more about adab and how it helps in strengthening our relationships with others.

The Importance of Good Niyyah

This poster highlights the importance of having a good and sincere niyyah (intention) in Islam. It explains that every action is judged by its intention, as mentioned in the famous hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: “Actions are judged by intentions.” Through this message, the poster encourages Muslims to purify their intentions and dedicate their actions to Allah.

The poster also presents several benefits of having a good niyyah, such as turning ordinary actions into acts of worship, earning rewards even before an action is completed, purifying the heart, increasing sincerity, giving direction and purpose in life, multiplying rewards, bringing barakah (blessings), and helping believers remain patient during hardships. In addition, the poster provides practical examples from daily life, showing how simple activities can become meaningful acts of worship when performed with the right intention.

This poster was created through a collaborative group effort. Each member contributed to different aspects of the project to ensure that the information was accurate, meaningful, and visually appealing. My role in the project was to research and collect information about the benefits of good niyyah. After gathering relevant points from Islamic sources and references, I organized the information and helped incorporate these benefits into the poster so that the message could be presented clearly and effectively to the audience.

Through this project, I gained a deeper understanding of the significance of intention in Islam and how good intentions can transform everyday actions into acts that bring spiritual rewards and blessings.

May our usrah class continue to be a space filled with blessings, even though we are often unable to attend together due to our different commitments. This experience has taught us that seeking knowledge is never easy, but it must still be pursued in every situation. Even when our steps sometimes pause, may our hearts never stop searching for ways toward education and goodness.

This usrah is not just a meeting, but a process of shaping ourselves to become closer to Allah and more disciplined in life. May we continue to support and pray for one another, strengthen each other, and never lose hope in our journey of seeking knowledge. Hopefully, every small effort we make becomes a reason for blessings and opens doors to future success.

May we remain steadfast, even if slowly, because what matters most is that we keep moving forward and never leave the path of knowledge we have chosen together. May Allah ease every step we take, grant us strength, and make us better individuals every day.

In all our busyness and shortcomings, may we always remember that knowledge is a light that should never be abandoned. Even though distance and time may separate us, may this bond of brotherhood remain strong and become a reason for us to return stronger, to learn, and to grow in a better direction.

This usrah experience has taught me that seeking knowledge is not always easy, especially when we are often busy and unable to attend regularly. Even though our attendance was not consistent, I learned that the true value of usrah is not only in physical presence, but in the intention to keep improving ourselves and staying connected to learning and faith.

Through this situation, I realized that education requires effort, patience, and continuous commitment. There will always be challenges such as time management, personal responsibilities, and fatigue, but these challenges should not stop us from trying. Instead, they should push us to find better ways to stay disciplined and consistent.

I also learned the importance of istiqamah, even in small actions. Being part of this usrah reminds me that growth is a gradual process. What matters most is that we keep trying to move forward, no matter how slow the progress is. In the future, I hope to manage my time better so that I can participate more actively and benefit more from such beneficial gatherings.
