So single phase is actually not very efficient because its produce to much gap. Normaly used in house

2. HOW IS THE THREE PHASE SYSTEM WORKS?

Three phase is when three sine wave are put 120 degree shift for every wave by 3 separate windings of coils around the stator. As the rotor rotates, its magnetic field cuts the flux from three coils and induces voltage in the coils. However there is still a small gap within three phases that causes flicker.
Three phase system are widely used in industrial field as it is more effective when comes to performance

The motion of electrons can be presented in a sine wave graph which the gap is quite big.

2. HOW IS THE SINGLE PHASE/AC SYSTEM WORKS?

Single phase simultaneously changes with the voltage of an AC power by the system in sine wave. so the power increase at the maximum point and decrease at the neutral point. The power is not delivered at a constant rate as the voltage reaches a peak point twice in each cycle.

2.HOW IS THE THREE PHASE SYSTEM WORKS?

Three phase system need conductors wire which are 120 degree distant from each other. It provide 3 AC, which each leg of AC reaches a maximum voltage and only separate by 1/3 of the time in a full cycle. So the power output of the three phase remains to be nearly constant.

1. HOW IS THE SINGLE PHASE/AC SYSTEM WORKS?

- Due to the rotation of the magnetic field produce by magnet in ac generator between a complete circuit will change the speed of the electron flow in the circuit(making the electron accelerate/ decelerate). Single phase uses phase and neutral wires. Phase wires carry current load while neutral wires provide path where current returns. Power is produce due to this circumstances and an sine wave pattern graph.

2. HOW IS THE THREE PHASE SYSTEM WORKS?

- Since the power produce by single phase system is not enough for some application use hence we another two coil into the system (at 120 degree shift for each wave). This will produce three phase electricity. The two most common configurations of three-phase systems are known as wye and delta. This is the best compromise the cost and the power supply to the system.

1. HOW IS THE SINGLE PHASE AC SYSTEM WORKS?
-In a stator, there are two coils opposite each other and connect together to create a complete circuit.
-there is also a magnet in between these coils and start to rotate.
-when the magnet starts to rotate, the magnetic field will disturb the free electron within the copper wire and push the electron to flow. So, electrical current is produced.
-For magnetic field, there are two polarities, North and south. In between two polar, the intensity is zero. In the center of the polar, the intensity i

In the center of the polar, the intensity is maximum. So, we have to consider one side of polarity is positive, another side is negative.
-When magnetic field rotates through the coil, the coil will experience an increasing intensity of magnetic field, the free electrons will move faster and faster in one direction until the maximum point of magnetic field.
-After that, the coil will experience decreasing intensity of magnetic field, as the free electrons will move faster in another direction. So this will produce an alternating current.

2.HOW IS THE THREE PHASE SYSTEM WORKS?
-three phase system works when 3 phases are add in 120 degree shifted from one another to improve the gaps. The coils will then experience change in intensity of magnetic field in different point of time. 3 phase is more compromising because of the power provided and it is cost effective.
-As an example the lamp in our houses actually are blinking but we cannot see it with naked eyes since it blinks in milliseconds period of time

1. HOW IS THE SINGLE PHASE/AC SYSTEM WORKS?
For a single phase system, the flow of electrons in the coil of wire will be affected by the rotation of magnet inside the AC generator. The electrons will flow with the highest speed when the magnetic field strength is at its maximum point and vice-versa. The electrons will stop to flow when the point of neutral polarity of the magnet is encountered. If North polarity of the magnet will push the electrons to move forward, the South polarity of the magnet will pull the electrons backwards (reverse direction).

2. HOW IS THE THREE PHASE SYSTEM WORKS?
The three phase system can be made by inserting another two sets of coils with 120 degree of rotation from the first set of coil. Each set of coil will be connected to its respective load. Since there are three different phases, the electrons in each set of coil will flow in different speeds. This is because each coil will experience different change of intensity of magnetic field at one particular time. The power may be generated and transmitted in three phase before it is distributed to the consumers. Generally, houses require single phase power demand while a large building may require three phase power demand.

1. How does single phase/AC system work?
AC system or single phase can be explained by running of AC generator. Inside the generator consist of rotor(magnet) and stator(copper coil). As the magnet is rotating, the polarity of the magnetic field also changing. During the positive half circle, the coil experience increasing of intensity of the magnetic field, and the free electron will be forced to move faster in one direction until reach the maximum strength of magnetic field.

As the strength of magnetic field decreases, the flow of free electron begin to slow down until reach neutral point (no electron will flow).
During negative half circle, the free electron also move in opposite direction with the same concept as positive circle.

2. The gap become smaller because when the first coils experience minimum point, the others coils may experience maximum point. So, the power supplied become nearly constant.

Single phase motors work on the same principle as 3 phase motors except they are only run off one phase. A single phase sets up an oscillating magnetic field that goes back and forth rather than a rotating magnetic field (see bottom figure). Because of this a true single phase motor has zero starting torque. However, once the rotor begins to rotate it will continue to rotate as a result of the oscillating magnetic field in the stator.
compare to single phase system, three phase system delivers power at a steady, constant rate. A three-phase power supply can transmit three times as much power as a single-phase power supply, while only needing one additional wire (that is, three wires instead of two). Thus, three-phase power supplies, whether they have three wires or four, use less conductor material to transmit a set amount of electrical power than do single-phase power supplies.

Each set of loop will be associated with its particular burden. Since there are three unique stages, the electrons in each set of loop will stream in various rates. This is on the grounds that each curl will encounter diverse difference in power of attractive field at one specific time. The force might be created and sent in three stage before it is appropriated to the shoppers. For the most part, houses require single stage power interest while an enormous structure may require three stage power interest.
