         <title>What is the Circulatory System?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The circulatory system is one of the many body systems that you have. Its purpose is to transport oxygen collected from the <strong>respiratory system</strong>, and other nutrients/minerals around your body in order to ‘fuel’ your cells to keep working. The circulatory system also transports all the wastes created by body cells from other body systems to the parts of the <strong>excretory system</strong> so that those wastes can be ejected out of the body. The circulatory system also works with the <strong>endocrine system</strong>, the system that is in charge with all of the body’s hormones and body chemical production. The circulatory system transports the chemicals produced by the endocrine system, such as adrenaline, to parts of your body to help body cells complete certain tasks. </div>]]></description>

         <title>The Parts of Your Circulatory System </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>1.) Heart - the central and the most significant organ of the system. It generates the force that pumps blood around the body. It is also the area in which oxygen and carbon dioxide are switched from the red blood cells so that the red blood cells actually have oxygen to give to other body cells whilst the carbon dioxide is ejected out of the body. The heart then pumps blood to various blood vessels which differ from each other.<br><br>Types of Blood Vessels<br><br>2.) Arteries - directs the flow of blood straight to or from the heart to or from veins. Basically a inter-state highway for red blood cells. <br>3.) Veins - tubes that are more narrow than the arteries, the veins transport the blood from the arteries to more specific, but still broad areas of the body such as the head, arms, legs, etc. <br>4.) Capillaries - very thin tubes, even thinner than the veins. The purpose of these blood vessels is to funnel the flow of blood to the actual cells of the body, giving the body cells energy, then taking any unnecessary material from the cell back to the veins so that they can be ejected from the body.<br></strong><br></div>]]></description>
