The Boston Tea Party occurred on December 16, 1773, and it was one of the most important events in all of American History. The Colonists were fed up from the Tea Act, and wanted to do something to rebel against the British, so they threw a shipment of tea into the Atlantic Ocean. The Intolerable Acts were a direct result of the Boston Tea Party.
