In our Training Game

On Wednesday, Calan and JayR hosted a training game in football. It was very good because we were able to use the time to build relationships and solidify friendships. I was able to show leadership by being very vocal to my teammates, always giving them a ‘man on’ and ‘Press higher’. It was very good as it helped to encourage the team to keep the standard high right up until the end of the game. I felt that through the game the team flowed very well and there wasn’t really anything to improve on.

Football Training

In one of our recent football training, we had to do lots of fitness in a group of 6. I was able to give words of encouragement to the team always just telling them one more step to keep them going. One of my teammates Gideon Roper came and told me afterwards that it really helped him to keep going. Although it was very good, In my opinion I didn’t communicate as consistently as I wanted to and would next time make sure to keep the words going for the whole duration.

Preaching

Being a Christian, I regularly go out on outreach with members of the church. Outreach is where we go to our local area and tell people about the love of Jesus. Sometimes we will take the speaker and microphone and go out to preach. We were in Pontefract and I was able to preach to the people in the area telling them about the love of Christ. It was great as the communication was very smooth and people were able to hear about the Gospel.

The sustainability badge is awarded for a significant improvement on the way you treat the environment. One way I express this is the use of of a water bottle at college. By using my own bottle I limit the amount of plastic that is being used in our college and rather, use a bottle which will better help the environment and help to keep our college clean and sustainable.

Another way I help to do my part for the community, is by putting the correct rubbish into the corresponding bins. In our college, we have bins which are used for recyclables and for pure waste. By putting my recyclable rubbish into the correct bin, I'm helping to limit the amount of waste that ends up in storage piles and sewers. Helping to keep the environment as healthy as possible.

To reduce our carbon footprint, I am using the bus and walking to college. This helps exponentially as the carbon emissions emitted are reduced by nearly 48%. This is also healthy for the human body as walking also provides some daily exercise.

As a cashier in my workplace, I have the duty of providing my customers with an elite customer service and tailoring to their orders and needs. I am also tasked with ensuring that everything is running as smooth as possible and limiting the amount of stress as much as possible. It is my responsibility to give and take orders, assist customers and help out anywhere I can.
