I am passionate about creating art inspired by nature and wildlife, especially through biomimicry. I find it fascinating how the unique characteristics and potential of different living creatures and plants can be used to create something extraordinary and beautiful. For instance, solar panels were inspired by plants and flowers that absorb light to make their food through photosynthesis. I want to use nature’s logic, tranquillity, and beauty to captivate and reconnect the audience with wildlife and its knowledge.

My goal is to research different plants and animals' habitats, including their skills, colours, movements, and organisms. I want to transform this knowledge into abstract sculptures and installations of different sizes, conveying their hidden unity, beauty, and ecological philosophy. My forte lies in carving, curling, and twisting different materials into geometrical forms and structures. I want to take my installations to the next level by experimenting with textiles instead of paper to reflect the signatures of animals or plants.

I am fascinated by nostalgic creatures such as the siphonophore, a colony of single-celled organisms that belong to the cnidaria family. I want to research the purpose of its properties, including the contrast of its extraordinary colours around its organisms and the way it moves so nostalgically underwater. Furthermore, I want to sketch and bring out its exotic and phenomenal organic structures using watercolour and oil pastel. To create its structural form, I want to experiment with paper to fold and curve into molecular forms as maquettes and then generate a large version by using plastic and possibly tracing paper due to the creature's translucent texture.

I have been inspired by the work of artists such as Ross Lovegrove, who has created many molecular structures, designs, and installations based on nature's patterns and movements. Halima Cassell is another artist who imitates nature's movements and has created geometric sculptures using clay. Leonardo da Vinci is also known for using biomimicry to create inventions and designs based on the abilities of animals, such as birds' ability to fly.

For my final major project, I want to investigate the functions and purposes of various creatures and natural elements. I am curious about the reasons behind their unique abilities and skills. I also want to explore close-up forms, abstract-looking textures, and patterns. I plan to create maquettes using clay or paper to experiment with organic forms and organisms. My goal is to discover what I can mimic from different species and minerals and transform them into abstract and geometrical forms through installations.

I am interested in exploring the subject of nature through the lens of plants, creatures, minerals, and water. I find their unique colours, cultures, and natural habitats fascinating. In particular, I am intrigued by the use of biomimicry in art and design, which is the process of imitating nature's logic and beauty to create original works.
