Rifumo enjoys pressing out shapes in playdough and is able to dress and undress herself independently. She takes great delight in building with blocks, often constructing large towers, and can tear small pieces of paper and paste them accurately. Fantastic! Her fine motor skills are developing exceptionally well, enabling her to manipulate tools and materials with increasing precision and control. These skills further support her creativity, problem-solving, and independence across a variety of classroom activities.

Rifumo can slide down the fireman’s pole with assistance and is able to maintain a cross-legged position on the carpet with ease. Her favourite outdoor activity is the sandpit, where she delights in baking cakes and building sandcastles with her friends, demonstrating both creativity and cooperative play.

Rifumo is developing strong early literacy skills. She recognises most of the phonetic sounds taught this year and confidently applies them during class activities. She enjoys tracing and finger-painting letters, which helps her practise forming shapes and recognising letter patterns. She can copy her name with growing accuracy and demonstrates an increasing awareness of print in her environment. Rifumo participates enthusiastically in literacy lessons and is becoming more confident in identifying sounds, letters, and simple words, laying a solid foundation for future reading and writing development.

Rifumo recognises most of the numbers from zero to ten and enjoys tracing them. She can draw a figure 8 independently and loves practising writing numbers with chalk on the blackboard. She can also count backwards from ten to zero with confidence. Her understanding of early numeracy concepts is developing beautifully, and she is beginning to recognise number patterns and apply counting in simple play activities, demonstrating a growing confidence with numbers.
