At LP,  there are many stories that circulate about inappropriate sexual activity; however, many girls state that they are not comfortable reporting. They are afraid of repercussions from parents, concerned about teacher/admin involvement intensifying the problem, reactions from the perpetrator and the perpetrators friends. Hoping this can lead to discussion about culture of silence.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>*The Evergreen diploma is intended for Special Needs students who have a modified curriculum.  But Indigenous students who were not identified as Special Needs were given them because of low expectations.<br><br>School boards in BC were mandated to integrate one day of PD dedicated to Aboriginal Studies - many districts are ignoring the mandate (including those with the lowest graduation rate of Aboriginal students). </div>]]></description>
