It allows the students to take the risk of expressing their ideas in a new medium. They are able to try something new without the repercussions.

The article was limited in the sample size. I would have liked to see a study done on an “average” school with a mixed demographic, incorporating culturally diversity and economically varied background of students.

Not every avenue can be covered with creative writing, and that's okay, as students can still be pushed and do good academic work through essays.
