I write because it allows me to express myself and how I feel. When I write it feels like an escape from stress in my life. It is a way for me to unwind and it helps me spread my life experiences that I may not be as comfortable talking about publically. It is a more comfortable way for me communicate concerns and feelings I may keep bottled up. A more simple reason for why I write is because I enjoy it, I like being able to express my feelings freely. Writing helps me keep my thoughts organized and just makes me feel better about myself. I can poor out all my insecurities without feeling judged.

I write to express my understanding of knowledge. Often when I learn something new I write it down so that I can better understand it. Then after I have learned a lot about the subject I use the method I was taught in 5th grade that to understand knowledge is to be able to pass it on. So I write to teach others what I have learned which essentially helps me learn. Seeing something written out somewhat stamps it in my brain. Physically writing notes is the best form of studying in my opinion.

Most of the time, I write because it's what I'm told to do for school. Other times, I write as a way to feel more connected with myself. I keep a journal, and every now and then I write about things that's happening in my life, or sometimes just my feelings alone. Keeping a journal helps me understand myself more because it makes me feel like I'm in a safe space. Knowing that nobody else can see what I'm writing feels freeing most of the time because it allows me to be completely honest with myself. Doing this, I'm able to get a more clear understanding of my feelings past a surface level, and am able to decide how I will then deal with such feelings.

I write to express myself in a sense of hoping that my writing can influence someone else or make someone feel something. Writing has always been so interesting to me, I find beauty in being able to create a story that can have an overall impact on something, even if it's only seen by my classmates. I am more comfortable with writing down my feelings and emotions than talking to a friend because sometimes it's much harder to be able to have a deep conversation with someone who might not understand. Being able to write also gives me a rush of relief because whatever I had on my mind whether its my feelings or a school prompt, I finally got it out. Of course with the English prompts sometimes not being my favorite or the easiest, I still enjoy the challenges I sometimes face with writing. It makes me more aware of my capability and what techniques I can or need to work on. Overall, the reason for why I write is simply because I enjoy it and I feel a sense of in charge or power when doing so. #WritingIsCool :)

I write because I want to go to a good college. I write because I want a good SAT score. Writing isn't necessarily a "release" for me. I don't write to release pent up emotion or to express myself. I write because I have to. If I never have to write an essay again, subjective or objective, I'll be better off. I write because it's my ticket to a six figure salary. I simply write because I'm told to do so.

The reason I why write is because it helps me to articulate myself when I struggle to do so by the word of mouth. Writing allows me to use different word choice and challenge myself creatively. I often enjoy writing about my life experiences because it is a good way for me to self reflect. Self reflection is very important so that's why I write. Writing also helps me to study hard and do well for school. I really love to write poetry too. Writing poetry helps me to challenge myself creatively and voice my perceptions of the world and other subjects in multiple ways.

Writing has been a form of escapism for me since the seventh grade. I can enter other worlds and forget about my worries and my problems here. I also write to get out my thoughts and ideas; if I can't talk it out, then I can write it out.

I also have many recurring ideas in my head that I express via writing - the most recent being a "book" I'm working on with the working title of "Songbird." This story idea has been in my head for weeks (although I haven't even written the first paragraph -_-), and it continuously stayed in my head until I wrote it out.

And that's part of why I write, to get these thoughts out before I either lose them or they take me over. Because I use writing to express my anger, my resentments, all my worries and stress - and I feel better and more calm afterwords.

I write because it helps me express my thoughts, emotions, and ideas.

I write for comfort, I write for self expression, I write for me. Writing is an outlet to another reality. To storytelling through a narrative, to a reflective personal piece like the one I'm writing now. Writing allows the reader to explore into the mind of the author, and puts them into a point a view that they may have never thought of before. I write for freedom. Freedom comes with writing because you have your own ideas and there's no rules to what you can write about. That is my favorite element of writing. I write because it allows me to be my true self.

I write to release my emotions and thoughts about things that I have been kept in hidden. It's more like a gateaway from reality and it keeps my mind occupied from certain things that are happening in my surroundings. Whenever I have the need to get something off my chest, I turn my view to writing which in that way I could express and poor out all the things that is happening with detailed explanation. Writing is a passionate and safe zone, you'll learn and grow from it along the way. It also makes me feel powerful that I have the ability to succeed with something that I could just write on and keep my mind to it whenever I'm feeling down.Writing is meant for every human being, weather if it's for writing down notes for a class or just expressing yourself in a matter where you don't have the ability to talk it out face to face.

Why I write. That's the thing, I don't. Let me shed some light on that, I don't like writing for other people. It's supposed to be that writing frees the soul and makes you express what you feel and what you see. I don't write because if it's just for a grade, then it's worthless to me. I very much dislike writing out my feelings because I cannot seem to figure out how to write them out. I'm no George Orwell, or a great poet like Edgar Allan Poe. I don't write.

Literature, as a whole, allows one to step into a past never experienced, a present of enlightenment, and a future that one could only dream of. I write because I wish to explore this world of words and tales and stories. I write because I wish to let go of the burdens of the present in order to live a more fulfilling future. I write because I want to give my imagination a chance to run wild, as there is no limit to the flow of words that is not self-imposed. I write because I wish to share my story with others, as who knows--this could be the solution to the loneliness of another. But most of all, I write because writing is like 'the' star to my Earth--and a world without writing is hardly capable of being a world worth living in.

Writing is a form of communication. While talking is also a form of expressing yourself, I feel as if you can understand more if someone wrote something rather than if someone said it. What I mean by this is if something is in writing you have an opprotunity to reread it and gather a deeper understanding of something. Although I believe that writing is a better form of communication, I believe writing can hold more sentimental value. I would appreciate it more if someone I have not seen in a long time sent me a letter rather than having a normal conversation over the phone. Maybe its just me but this is why I write.

When I think about something, like an answer to a question, I like to write it down to be able to process what I am thinking. If I don't, then I have no idea what I'm trying to say. It would just be a lot of rambling. It's like writing an essay but not knowing what the essay is about. Usually, I do this in school because that's where I'm thinking a lot. Outside of school, I don't write anything out... I doodle but that's besides the point. The point is that writing helps me think about what I want to say, how I want to say it, and helps me understand what I am trying to say.

Writing allows me to chill and relax as I do it to do whatever I must, whether it be a class assignment or just writing random stuff on a piece on paper to entertain myself. Writing is also the best for taking notes and remembering said notes and this holds up really well for me as written notes have always helped me a lot in work, especially in tests of sorts that are very important for me to complete well.

I write because it opens up a new world of understanding. Feelings that none may ever experience are expressed through words. I write when I need to let out all my thoughts, or pent-up anger that has to be let go. You never realize how much you can do with writing until you’ve done it. I write when I need my loved ones to understand me, talking can only do so much, you can’t get your point across with all the interruptions. I find that when talking, you’re just repeating the same things over and over, there’s no meeting point, no way to fix anything. But when I write, I make sure to get everything out, there’s no confusion. Straight forward and clear. And lastly, I write to understand myself. As humans we’re probably one of the most complex and complicated species, something must be done to understand how one another thinks, or how they interpret things.

I write because it lets me sort out my thoughts and get a sense of how I feel. I usually write to get out how I'm feeling because I believe it is much easier than saying it outloud. When I type or write my thoughts out, I get to actually take a step back and see the words that I'm thinking. Writing helps me calm down and helps me realize why I feel that certain way. While I do the most writing for school, it still helps me collect my thoughts. I feel a sense of accomplishment when what I'm writing comes together just like how I wanted it. I can have trouble expressing the words I wanna say outloud, but writing allows me to get it across easier.

Why I write? More than 50% of the time I write isn't because I choose to. It's usually for school. I don't enjoy it honestly. I am not a writer. Therefore when I do write it's because writing is an helpful way for me to express myself. When I can't express myself verbally, writing helps. Even when I don't want to talk, writing to myself helps me process everything, a way for me to not allow everything to get bottled up because it isn't good for my health. I write to get away from things, when I write I am in my own world. Everything is blocked out and I'm focused on one thing. The only team writing is enjoyable is when I am doing it for me. I write for myself.

In school I get many assignments that involve writing. Each year my writing skills have gotten better and my understanding on correct writing has increased. The reason I write is to continue to grow my writing skills so that I can be able complete all my writing assignments to the best of my ability. It's very important to be able to write correctly to me because in the career field I will enter in the future(computer science) I will have to write reports and journals of the programs that I make. Also, I write sometimes to talk about personal experiences. I like to write about memories I have so that they can be shared with others.

Whether it be for an assignment or pleasure, I write to communicate my thoughts. It is a form of expression. Unlike thinking, or even speaking, writing is visible. Seeing it typed or written by hand allows me to remember my thoughts, which is helpful given how fast thoughts enter and leave my mind. When I write for leisure, rather than for an assignment, it becomes an outlet or an escape. Not having to worry about judgment from others and simply writing for my eyes only gives me a sense of security and allows me to unpackage after certain situations. Allowing others to read my writing is like a peek into such an isolated and intimate space.

I write to slow down my thoughts. I tend to overthink things and sometimes even I can understand what point I'm trying to get to because I'm thinking so fast. But, I can only write at a certain speed, and it can never be faster than my thoughts; therefore, i use it so I can fully process my thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it leads for me to completely skip over words and sentences because of how fast I'll move on to the next topic, but it still helps me so down and not overthink things like if I'm phrasing it right or if this means what I think it means. Writing helps me feel grounded and a way to physically see my thoughts instead of only hearing them in my head.

Writing for me is another way of communicating, my thoughts, ideas, feelings, stories, and emotion to other people. I write to express myself and let other people know what I'm thinking about. Apart from writing to express my ideas, I also write for school. School has helped me discover my enjoyment for writing. School has also taught me to be more open minded when I am writing. For the reason that I have become more open minded, It has changed me perspective on everything and everyone around me.

A lot of the time I write because I have to for a school assignment. I don't really like to write but when I write outside of school it's usually to express how I feel. When I say I write when I want to express how I feel about something, I mean that I write the feelings that I have at the moment that I don't want to talk about with anyone else. When I write to myself I write what happened in that day to make me feel the way that I do. Usually after I write I get more clarity. I use writing as an outlet.

I write to express what I'm going through and release emotions and feelings that I may want to say. I've learned to not say everything that comes to mind. Instead, I write it down. I also write to record my past, present and future. I had a journal in the 5th grade that my reading class and I would spend time during class to write about anything. Feelings, thoughts, poems, anything. This was and is still helpful to me today because as I grow older, this allows me to keep myself organized with things that I want to say.
