         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Charlie Easterby is 8 years old</p></li><li><p>Attends Grade 3 at the primary school of a K through 12 International School.</p></li><li><p>Charlie’s mother Natalie works as a language teacher in the secondary section of the school and their other parent, Shane, works from home as a freelance journalist. </p></li><li><p>Natalie and Shane have always avoided using gendered terms in discussions with staff at school when referring to Charlie, although the details on the admissions form include Charlie’s sex as male. </p></li><li><p>The school has a very traditional British-inspired uniform that is gendered: boys wear trousers, and girls wear skirts, although there is no strict policy on students choosing to dress differently. </p></li><li><p>Last week the school had a non-uniform day and Charlie came in wearing a dress<em>.</em></p></li></ul>]]></description>
