That’s what I’m going to do. If I die, I die.” He then talked about how ended up in Middletown, New York. A few months after coming to the US and moving in with his dad, his dad had to go back to Puebla for a family emergency leaving 15 year old Bernabe all by himself in a new world. He went to Middletown to live with a friend and start his new life. Throughout his story, Gibson explains how the economy in Middletown is benefited by the illegal immigrants and how their deportation would affect their economy and the US economy as a whole.
