Along with that they sometimes experience droughts and it gets hard to raise livestock. In Somalia though, the elevation is lower than Ethiopia so the climate is dry and hot. In the dry seasons the river turns dry and the trees loose their leaves. The dry seasons make farming hard and impossible. Although they can’t farm they can trade, build houses and visit their friends. During the wet seasons the land turns a nice green color and the farmers can begin farming. The savanna also has tall grasses, thorny bushes, scattered trees.
