How did I do to contribute to my group (with respect to my goals)?

Milestone check 1:
I helped to code and keep the group on task and we succeeded In making the circuit work.

Milestone check 2:
We tried making the box lid and unfortunately , it was quite difficult. However, in the end, we managed to make the lid but were lacking behind time.I helped to speed up the processes by splitting the group to do different jobs.

We tried attaching the circuit to the box however it was really confusing and I helped to cut the box out to fit the circuit.

1. Rhythm: 
Describe how you have demonstrated your ability to create rhythm using Percussion Instruments.
I have learnt how to keep constant tempo and create creative beats and patterns as well as follow structures which can produce a purposeful piece of music. Rhythm is producing a series of repeated sound of varied duration. Working as a team for the percussion ensemble has demonstrated my ability to keep beat during the ensemble and unite with the rest of my other teammates as well. I also learnt that rhythm requires beat. Without beat, the rhythm would be messy and do not have much of an impact on human nature. I feel that rhythm is part of humanity and it is part of different genres, such as raps, school songs, cheers etc. It can be expressed as lively or thrilling which matches the emotions of a human.

2. Melody:
Explain how your understanding of the use of scales has help you to create Melody.
Scales has allowed me to create pieces of harmony. 
Scales has allowed me to create pieces of harmony as it consists of many different keys. These keys allow me to explore different keys and notes that can piece together well, which allow my team to be able to create unique pieces of their own and put them together to form one whole music piece that is in harmony.
3. Chords: 
Explain how your understanding of the use of chords has help you to create accompaniment and melody.
I have learnt that these main chords can allow me to accompany many different types of songs. Chord 1 is the home chord. By using chord 1,4 and 5, I was able to form a piece with my other teammates which sounded in harmony. By ending with chord 1, it has allowed the piece to end on a perfect note. These chords not only serve as a suitable accompaniment, it has also allowed the melody to be in sync. Without using this chords, the piece would be messy and disorganised. To me, learning these scales are like the staple of composing a music piece as it is flexible and can allow the piece to be in harmony.

Sound Scape:
1. The sounds of the environment; to treat the world soundscape as a musical composition of which man is the principal composer, and to make critical judgments which would lead to its improvement. Give your opinion.

I think I used the colours well. I used flat colours for the Merlion and the MBS tower to provide a contrast. I tried to make use of colour blending for the waves to make it seem more interesting.

I used different pieces of paper and lined them up on the card.

I think through including elements of Singapore I managed to convey my message about Singapore being a colourful city.

I think that I painted the Merlion well and I made use of many different colours to show that Singapore is a colourful city.

I also discovered that I enjoy hands-on work especially during Dnt because I 
get to experience handicrafts such as during the animal leap. I was very proud of my work however there were times where I faced difficulties in making the lamp such as during cutting of the plastic for the face of the lamp. I found that part hard as it was not easy to control the plastic piece thus I would like to work on that. Nevertheless, because I have experience working on a project such as the animal lamp, I really liked it and would like to do it again.
2) I would like to work on my teamwork because I find that I prefer to work alone thus I am not very sociable and do not work well in a group. However, sometimes, I need the help of teammates to carry out a project so I would like to improve on my teamwork so I can work with others more smoothly and efficiently. During Music, we had to work together in a team to come up with a melodic percussion. I found it really difficult at first as I could not work well in a team, however, with more practice, I learnt to work better in a team which made my team's music piece more in harmony.
3) I am really excited about DnT next year. Like I mentioned on the above, I discovered my interest and love for hands-on work thus I look forward to the project on Dnt next year. I really enjoyed all the projects we work on in the projects such as working on the Arduino which I have never come across before.
