Organisms are organized

This is a picture of my neighbour's dog. He is an example of a complex multi-cellular organism. Like all organisms, he has levels of organization starting with the smallest unit of life which is the cell. A group of similar cells come together to form a certain tissue and different tissues will then form organs. Each organ has its own functions and works with other organs to make up an organ system. For example, in the dog's cardiovascular system, his heart pumps blood and his blood vessels carry it throughout his body. He has a collection of multiple organ systems, such as the respiratory system and digestive system, which work together to keep him alive and healthy.

Here is a large flocks of ducks gathering around and eating bread that someone has scattered all over the ground. Ducks need external material and energy to survive. Along with water and oxygen, ducks need to consume food. The bread provides nutrient molecules which cells can use for energy to carry out everyday activities of the ducks and all the processes taking place inside their bodies to survive . This includes digesting food, swimming and reproducing.

All organisms reproduce to ensure the survival of their species. Bell peppers have seeds which can be naturally spread when the fruit falls to the ground and decomposes or by the animals that ingest them through their feces. As the plant grows, it can either self-pollinate or cross-pollinate with the help of insects and birds, depending on the type of pepper. Eventually the peppers grow to their full size and ripen. Some of the peppers grown may then begin the cycle again and produce even more peppers.

Humans have evolved to have the most opposable thumbs of all organisms. One possible reason may because humans have stopped using their hands to walk, as opposed to many primates which still heavily rely on their hands. As well, these opposable thumbs have given humans great dexterity, allowed humans to invent and grip tools. Compared to other many other animals, humans are smaller and weaker. Without these, we likely would not have the technology we have today and drastically slimmer chances at survival.

Ducks begin their lives in eggs laid by their mothers where they grow their heart, feathers, ears, etc. Once the duck is ready to hatch, it breaks out of its egg. Ducklings then continue to grow in size while learning how to survive. Eventually the ducks will molt and get new feathers with which they can fly. They will then migrate south for the summer. Once they return to their original birthplace, they will mate and have offspring of their own.

Pupils shrink or dilate depending of the brightness of surroundings to let in different amounts of light. In dark conditions, our pupils dilate, to let in more light improve of vision of our surroundings. In bright conditions, our pupils shrink to let in less light. If it didn't, we would have a hard time seeing as our surrounds would either be too bright or blinding. In both of these situations, the eyes try to adjust in such a way that allows us to have the clearest vision.
