1. The difference between a News piece and Opinion piece is a News piece is giving you real information about what's going on in the world and a Opinion piece is someone telling you their perspective of a topic or situation.
2. An Opinion piece is supposed to persuade you because it's supposed to tell you someone's perspective on something and it's supposed to persuade you to believe what their opinion is.
3. News story is not supposed to persuade you because it's just supposed to inform and tell you something that is going on somewhere near you or in the world.
4. You know all voices are being represented if people that are involved and related to the news have their voice heard by reading the news.
5. You form an educated opinion about a topic from news consumption by reading the news and saying what you think about the news and your perspective about the news. - Amanda D

1. The difference between the news and someones opinion is when you are reading an article online, you research the latest news. The news is someone stating what happened when it happened and all the information. When its someones opinion in the news, it is biased because it is what they think from their point of view. Like if you are reading about sports you want to know what is the chance of your favorite team wining tonight and all it says is i think they will lose the other team is much better. That is the difference between opinion and news.
2. Yes, it is suppose to persuade you because it is only showing you on point of view.
3. A news article is suposse to persuade you because it states both sides of the story with all the information.
4. We know all the voices are being represented because if it gives you enough information and it says this person said but also this person said.
5. You can be open about it and very general.
Marsela and Olivia

well for opinion the person talking says what they want to be said so it is not the full complete story of the news so an actual news piece is legit and is what and happend and what was said for real. also opinion can trick people. for news the opinions are needed but is not what is. the news casters are taking there opinions and putting them a real news. also if someone has an opinion they have to say that its there opinion cause if they dont people will think that happen.][

The difference between a news and opinion piece is that a news piece has actual facts and is just a summary of what the reporter collected but an opinion piece is the opinion of the reporter or journalist of the topic. An opinion piece should persuade you because the journalist is trying to get the readers to have the same opinion as them. News stories aren't supposed to persuade you because they are supposed to give you news and inform you with recent/current events in the world. You know that all voices are being represented when you have statements or things that citizens or people that work for a company said. You can create an educated opinion about a topic by reading an article and making your opinion without changing the news facts.

1. The difference between these two pieces, is that Opinion pieces are told from the point of view of the reporter and tell you what they think and believe, while News pieces stick to the facts and only tell you what happens and where.

2. You know all voices are in a storywhen, you get different sides from different points of view. You can form an educated opinion by reading the facts of the story and talking about that adding your opinion where you think it fits, but to make it educated you can't just say something off the top of your head without thinking if what will happen if you say it, first.
Stefanine
