1. These statues are big/grand, so they show how powerful he was.
2. The statues in Russia depict Peter with another object (that is normally big, but here is shown smaller) to make himself look big. The one in the Netherlands is him standing alone, so it does not show his power as much as the others do.
3. I do not think that Peter should have used great force against his people in order to make his country better. A good country is made up of good citizens with a nice relationship with the monarch. In this situation, the force that Peter used has constricted the peaceful outcome that he was looking for. Even if the country turned out ten times better than before he used force, he should not have brought trouble to his people.

1. the statures are conveying him as strong with size and stance. They are also representing the way he westernized Russia with the boat statue because the ship represents the Western way.
2. The statues in Russia have other things besides Peter in the statue. For example in the Netherlands the statue was just him standing, but in Russia one of the statues has him riding a boat and another riding a horse
3. I think that having hardship in the present that benefits the future much greater is better than staying in this loop and never growing as a country. But I also think the forces he put on his people were extreme. In conclusion, if force was what is needed for Russia to get the change it desperately needed then I think it's ok but not ideal.

1. The statues portray him as a very strong and powerful man. They show him being very large as to show that he is great and mighty. In all of the pictures he is doing something that is a visual representation of his power.
2. The statue from the Netherlands kind of makes him look more approachable. The ones from Russia depict him being very big and strong. The last picture is just him without any props in the picture.
3. I think that using force or violence to accomplish a goal is never ok. I think instilling a little bit of fear or pressure onto people to make them aware of the importance of a task is ok. I think that Peter the Great should've tried harder to work with the people to accomplish his goals as opposed to immediately resulting to using force.

1. In a few of the pictures he is shown as larger than the boats he is standing on, he also seems to be standing on a city. I think this id done to show he is much greater, bigger, and better than everything else.
2. The statues seems to be more grand and much bigger in Russia rather than the ones in the Netherlands.
3. It is never okay to take people by force and treat people horribly, even if there is a benefit from it. It is not acceptable, though I think it might have been a little more difficult to get things done if he had not have done this. Though, he may have had the same amount of accomplishments if he had, had the people love him for him being nice and kind to them.

1. These statues make Peter seem as though he is even taller then he already was. In making with bigger than the ship or making him look lagger than life. Also in slide number 6 he is building a boat maybe to symbolize how he westernized and re-built Russia. He also looks dressed to travel in some indicated he could be a traveler.
2. The one in the Netherlands while still making him taller is not as grand as he is seen in the other. His power is not as strongly displayed, and he is alone nothing near him to make with look so large.
3. I wish I could say that I did think that his reforms could be done

1. The statues show him as being big and strong. They show this because he was strong in power and people looked up to him. In most of the statues he is looking away into the distance, this is showing that he is looking into the future and wants to westernize Russia.
2. The statues in Russia have him with other things in the statue that in reality are bigger than people, but in the statute he is bigger then those objects. This is trying to show that he is bigger and more powerful then anything.
3. I believe that Russia was way behind in their westernizing so I feel like there needed to be some kind of change, I think there could have been other ways to doing this, but I do they think it needed to be done.

In all the pictures it is showing him on some sort of transportation, so maybe this shows how he traveled west to help modernised Russia.
2. The statues in Russia seem to be a lot more grand and bigger whereas the one in the Netherlands is just him standing on a compass. Russia's statues are much more detailed and make him look very powerful where the Netherlands don't.
3. I think that Peter needed to use some force but not too much. What he did was well needed and Russia greatly benefited from it

From these pictures, he seems immensely larger than the average person, so I think that they are trying to convey that he was a very powerful leader.
2. The one picture of the statue in the Netherlands stands out because its the one statue that makes his importance stand out by him just standing there. In all of the other statues, they are more "over the top" considering in every picture he is either on a boat, horse etc.
3.

The statues portray him as more powerful and controlling because of his size and the stern expression on his face on each statue.
2) The statues in St. Petersburg are portraying him in a more negative dictator way because of his facial expressions are so stern and is he is looks like his controlling but in the last one he is smiling and looks proud like he did something great not necessarily being a cruel controller.
3) I don't think in any way

1. The pictures show that he is very tall and they made him bigger than the chair and boat to show his power and height. The make him look very focused and serious in each statue. He looks very noble.
2. The statue in Russia shows him standing and looking very proud of something whether it is himself or another, he is proud of someone. He looks more more welcoming and less noble. He isn't as big in this statue than in the others.
3. I think that a few goals could be accomplished with out force but not all. People all over the world have different opinions and beliefs and they want to stand up for their rights so they would not get everything done of none of it was by force. I think it is ok to force people to a certain extent. He should not go so far as to abusing people or forcing them to do something that might be a disgrace to their family or religion. As long as he keeps others religious beliefs and opinions in mind.

1.His stance gives off the idea that he is more powerful than the world. He is even made larger than the boat he is standing on, which tells us that he is a traveler.
2. You can see him clearly standing up which is easier to see how strong he is. Some of the other statues are unclear and disproportionate. I think the last statue is very clean and well made.
3. To an extent, yes. Sometimes a good amount of force is necessary. Peter had to use force to get things to change and change was well needed. He also was one of few people who actually saw with his own eyes what needed to happen. Going to Europe and seeing how behind they were started a fire in him to make changes in the forward direction.

The poses/stances he is in are some that people use to try and say that they are more intelligent, brave, and powerful than you.
2. I feel like the Netherlands and St. Petersburg statues are very similar because they all still portray his characteristics as strong and powerful.
3. I don't think Peter should have used force on his country. In order to have people respect you and believe that you are powerful, then you need to treat your people with respect, too.

1. All of the pictures show that he is a strong and high mighty ruler. He is portrayed as a large image and the things around him show his power and make him stand out.
2. The statue in the Netherlands makes stand out more because he is standing alone and the main idea in the picture is him and how he is looking.
3. I think that is it always good to be a little harsh or strict, but not to a point were there are consequences and extremes. Sometimes, a little power or force is helpful and necessary to help things move along and develop, and that is what he wanted to do with the country. Although he might have had a hard tone or mindset, he did not or should not have gone to an extreme point of cruelty that could've hurt people.

In all the of the statues he is standing with his shoulders back and he looks very proud and unbreakable.
2. In the last statue, he isn't standing on a horse or in a boat, he is standing on a compass, which shows that he is leading the way, maybe to a better nation. This statue also probably puts into perspective how tall he actually was//shows he is just like a normal person because he isn't doing anything great.
3. I think when you are working with so many people, you have to use some force to get your point across, maybe if I was in Russia during this time I would think differently, but If he is doing it for the good of the country then I feel that it is ok.

1. In all of these statues, Peter is very big and powerful and the main focus of the statue. For an example, the picture of him on the boat, he is bigger than the boat to make him seem powerful and big. He is also steering the boat to show how he is large and in charge. In the first statue, Peter is riding a horse with no hands to make everyone think that he is skilled at everything he does.
2. in the last statue Peter is standing on a compass, however; this time the compass is bigger than Peter maybe to symbolize how much he liked to travel and how he came to other parts of Europe to help advance Russia.
3. I think that a reasonable amount of force is necessary, but if it gets to the point of violence or taking away people rights, it has gotten too far.

The size shows his towering over his congregation.
2. The statue was built in a position of him standing broad and tall, which shows his power and displays confidence. The other statues are less detailed and unclear, while the last picture defines how strong a king should act and stand.
3. Kings should never deal with issues using Forceful or dangerous actions, because it brings drama and terror upon the king and country. Although his actions brought the country up to progress, the way he came about it was wrong.
