They fell down the stairs and two gunshots were fired. Mrs. Hiller found him dead at the door. Investigators had found sand and gravel in the daughter's bedroom. To their luck, Mr. Hiller had painted the railings hours before his death leaving them still tacky. Four fingerprints on a left hand were engraved into the paint. Willian M. Evans (fingerprint expert) agreed that it was Jennings' fingerprints on the railing in the court.
F. Results: The fingerprints were identified and brought to court. The court confirmed that Jennings was guilty and upheld his death sentence to be hanged on February 16th 1912.

Interested or not, why?
I am very interested in this line of work. I find it interesting that every person has a different and unique fingerprint that will never change during their lifetime. Fingerprints are left everywhere. I also find it interesting that they have all of these fingerprints on file and have ways to figure out whose are whose based on the smallest detail. This line of work is very detailed and precise.
