    •  New Book/Note Book with key terms and calculations to be used from first year up, used as a reference guide up to 3rd year

    • calculators essential in class, more hands on practice in the room, the students are not used to using the calculator and do not start using it in Maths until later in the year 
    • big discussion on year plan in first year, maybe more enterprise in first year to engage the students more than budgets might do.

    One of the eight principles that underpin the JC Framework is supporting student voice. Business studies should provide students with the opportunity to develop self-advocacy skills. The elements of the key skill Managing myself includes knowing myself, making considered decisions, setting and achieving personal goals, being able to reflect on my own learning and using digital technology to manage myself and my learning.

    Activation of student voice to support autonomy and deeper encouragement in learning that will allow students have a right to have a meaningful say in what happens to them, and in what matters to them, in our schools and classrooms.
