Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 163 states that your God is the One and Only God; there is no deity except Him, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ ٩

This verse emphasizes that Allah SWT is the One who revealed the Quran and also guarantees its authenticity and purity until the end of time.

- Quran is proof of the truth of Islam

- The Quran contains various events, describing things that have happened, are happening, and will happen

the duties of the prophet:

- delivering Allah's revelation to people without forcing them

- calling people to believe in Allah (tauhid)

- being a role model in behavior and attitude

- explaining and teaching the teachings of Islam clearly

A Nabi (prophet) receives divine revelation but is not obligated to convey it to others, whereas a Rasul (messenger) receives divine revelation and is mandated to deliver and communicate it to the people.

In short, all Rasul are Nabi, but not all Nabi are Rasul

5) Belief in the Day of Judgement

- we must believe that the Day of Judgment will definitely happen, that the world has an end

- Allah will resurrect all humans on that day.

- all our deeds will be presented on the Day of Reckoning

- those whose good deeds are heavy will go to Paradise, and those whose deeds are light will go otherwise

Belief in the Day of Judgment leads to:

- increasing obedience and love for Allah

- having a constant consciousness and fear of Allah

- encourages doing more good deeds

6) Belief in Qada' and Qadar

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَـٰهُ بِقَدَرٍۢ

This verse explains that all of Allah SWT’s creations, both creatures and the universe, are created with measures, systems, and decrees that He has established

• Knowledge (Ilmu)
  Allah knows everything that has happened and will happen.

• Writing (Kitabah)
  All destiny is written in the Preserved Tablet (Luh Mahfuz) since eternity.

• Will (Iradah)
  Everything happens according to Allah’s will.

• Creation (Khalq)
  Allah creates everything according to the destiny He has decreed.

ihsan means to worship Allah as if you see Him, then be sure that He is always watching you. In other words, Ihsan is doing everything with sincerity, devotion, and full awareness of Allah’s presence.

Ihsan is not only about ritual worship but also includes good morals and behavior in daily life, such as being kind to others, being honest, and maintaining a pure heart.

examples of ihsan:

• In Worship
  Praying with full concentration and sincerity, as if you are directly in the presence of Allah.

• In Interactions with Others
  Being kind, patient, and honest to family, friends, and even strangers, even when no one is watching.

• In Work
  Doing your job diligently and responsibly, even if your boss or anyone else is not observing you.

• In Caring for the Environment
  Taking care of cleanliness and protecting nature, knowing it is a trust from Allah.

• In Helping Others
  Giving assistance sincerely without expecting anything in return, solely for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.

eschatology

In Islam, eschatology includes beliefs about the Qiyamah (Day of Resurrection), the judgment of all souls, and the eternal life after death.

minor sign of Qiyamah:

- Women will outnumber men

- Earthquakes will increase

- Good deeds will decrease

- Female singers and musical instruments will become popular

- People will believe in astrology (in the stars)

- Time will pass rapidly. Time will have no blessings

major sign of Qiyamah

-The appearance of thick smoke (Dukhan)

-The emergence of Dajjal (The False Messiah)
-The return of Prophet Isa

-The release of Ya'juj and Ma'juj
-The emergence of the Beast of the Earth (Dabbah)

-The sun rising from the west

Imam Mahdi

-Al-Mahdi is Muhammad bin Abdillah al-Alawi al-Hasani, a descendant of al-Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Thalib (RA).

- He will be born in Madinah.

- Imam Mahdi is a prophesied leader who will appear before the Day of Judgment to restore justice and peace on Earth.

- His arrival is one of the major signs of the End Times in Islamic eschatology.

The Mahdi is from me. His forehead is broad, and his nose is prominent. He will fill the earth with justice as it was previously filled with injustice, and he will rule for seven years."
(Hadith narrated by Abu Dawud)

Among the characteristics of Imam Mahdi’s personality are as follows:

-He is a descendant of Adam (a human being).

-He has a broad forehead and a prominent nose.

-Both of his eyes are outlined with kohl (eyeliner).

-His face shines brightly, as if he is a shining star.

week 1 : This week’s Usrah taught me that good manners are essential alongside knowledge, and the Quran guides us to live balanced lives as responsible Muslims who worship Allah, care for the Earth, and uphold good character.

week 2 : This week’s Usrah has deepened my appreciation and understanding of each pillar of Islam.

week3 : This week, I learned that faith (Iman) includes belief in Allah, Angels, and the Divine Books. True faith requires good actions. Believing in Allah means recognizing Him as the one and only God and strengthening this belief through prayer, remembrance, and reflecting on His creation. Belief in Angels means understanding they are Allah’s servants who worship Him and record our deeds. Belief in the Divine Books means accepting the Quran as the final, protected revelation from Allah, guiding us through knowledge and truth.

week4 : This week, I learned that faith includes believing in all Prophets while following Prophet Muhammad’s teachings, believing in the Day of Judgment where all deeds are judged, and accepting Qada’ and Qadar that everything happens by Allah’s will and plan.

week 5 : From this week's Usrah, i learned that Ihsan is sincere worship and good behavior. Islamic eschatology covers signs of the Day of Judgment, including Dajjal and Prophet Isa’s return. Imam Mahdi will appear to restore justice before the end times.

week 6 : this week, i learned that Adab means good manners that help us live harmoniously with others. It shows our character and builds strong moral values. Everyone should practice adab in daily life.

week 7 : this week, i learned that Islam emphasizes the importance of protecting nature as a trust from Allah. Muslims are forbidden from causing harm to the Earth and are encouraged to treat the environment with kindness. Therefore, we must appreciate nature by keeping it clean, avoiding waste, and living sustainably.

SUGGESTION IMPROVEMENT

I think after done with sharing knowledge session, playing light games with group members is a great way to break the ice and reduce awkwardness. It helps everyone feel more comfortable, strengthens bonds, and improves teamwork.

MY WISH

I don’t want to merely walk through this world,
I want to be a light in my parents’ prayers,
a Muslimah who preserves her character and dignity,
and a student who seeks knowledge for the sake of Allah,
so that every achievement becomes a reason for their proud smiles.

the difference between adab and akhlaq :

adab : outword behavior that people show

akhlaq : the qualities that reside in the heart

for example :

if someone smiles and says “good morning” that’s adab,
but they also genuinely care about you and are honest and kind deep down, that’s akhlaq

Adab Towards Parents in the Story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S.

The story of Prophet Ibrahim A.S. and his father, Azar, is a beautiful example of showing respectful behavior (adab) towards parents — even when they are in the wrong.

Background:

Prophet Ibrahim's father, was a maker and worshipper of idols. Ibrahim A.S., who was guided by Allah, tried to invite his father to the truth of Tawhid (the Oneness of God). Even though his father rejected him and even threatened him, Prophet Ibrahim A.S. remained gentle, respectful, and kind.

Examples of Prophet Ibrahim's Adab:

1. Polite and Loving Speech

He addresses his father with the phrase: "Ya abati" – meaning "O my beloved father" – a term of deep love and respect.

2. Humble Advice

He doesn't speak arrogantly or harshly. Instead, he gently invites his father to guidance.

3. No Harsh Condemnation

Even though his father was committing shirk (associating partners with Allah), Ibrahim A.S. never insulted or cursed him. His tone remained courteous and sincere.

4. Praying for His Father

Even after being rejected and threatened, he says peaceful words and promises to pray for his father.

-Be humble with the knowledge you have and share it to your friends

-taking care of your body

-Controlling your tongue and thoughts

-Seeking self-improvement

-Being patient with yourself

1- Keep the environment clean

• Don’t litter or throw rubbish in nature.

• Use recycling bins properly.
  

2- Plant trees and greenery

• Trees help absorb carbon dioxide and cool the earth.
  

3- Save water and electricity

• Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth.

• Switch off lights and appliances when not in use.
  

4- Protect plants and animals

• Don’t destroy natural habitats.

• Avoid illegal hunting or buying products made from endangered species

  
  

  وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَـٰحِهَا وَٱدْعُوهُ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٥٦

  
  

  Do not spread corruption in the land after it has been set in order. And call upon Him with hope and fear. Indeed, Allah’s mercy is always close to the good-doers.

  
  

  وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ٧ أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ٨

  
  

  As for the sky, He raised it ˹high˺, and set the balance ˹of justice˺ so that you do not defraud the scales.

evey act of worship must be accompanied by a sincere intention for the sake of Allah.

2. intention in daily life

intention is not limited to acts of worship only, such as: performing prayer, fasting, and other acts of ibadah; even daily activities can become acts of worship when done with the right intention, for example: studying, doing sports or exercising, working and helping others

3. importance of setting a good intention

• it guides our actiond

• it purifies our purpose

• it helps us stay on the right path

• it turns ordinary actions into acts of

  worship

4. tips for having a good intention

1) sincerity : make intention sincerely for Allah alone, not for praise or recognition from others

2) clarity : have a clear intention, vision, and mission in what we want to achieve for the sake of Allah

3) focus : be focused in everything we do. for example, focus in prayer helps us attain inner peace and perform prayer more perfectly

4) consistency : be consistence in doing good deeds, even if they are small

5. effects of a good intention

-gain wisdom(hikmah) and lessons from every experience

-receive rewards from Allah

-develop a deeper understanding of Islam

-strengthen our relationship with Allah

example of acts of worship include :

1-salah (prayer)

Ṣalāh instills awareness of Allah, restrains a person from immoral and wrongful behavior, and encourages obedience to Him.

Attributes of Ṣalāh:

-Ikhlāṣ: Sincerity for the sake of Allah

-Fear of Allah (Taqwā)

-Remembrance of Allah (Dhikrullāh)

2-sawm (fasting)

Sawm develops taqwa, empathy, and discipline.

It helps believers draw closer to Allah.

Key Points:

- Recognizing Allah's constant observation

- Weakening Satan's influence

- Fostering acts of worship

3-zakah (charity)

Zakah purifies wealth and self, fostering generosity and reducing greed.

Key Benefits:

- Cleanses sins and bad traits

- Supports the needy

4-hajj (pilgrimage)

Hajj disciplines believers to follow Allah's commandments and abstain from prohibited acts.

Etiquette of Haji:

- Avoid indecent acts, disobedience, and disputes

- Stay devoted to worship and good deeds

Wudu' has benefits in the Hereafter. It helps purify the heart, both outwardly and inwardly.

When a person is angry, they are encouraged to perform wudu'.

khushu' in prayer is a sunnah, not a pillar (rukn)

one of the things that disturbs khushu' is waswas (whispers/distractions)

How to achieve khushu' in prayer :

-perform the prayer at the beginning of its time

-do not rush

-do not pray first when food has already been served

-wear clean and pure clothing

-pray in a place free from distractions

-perform wudu' properly and completely

-understand the meanings of the recitations in prayer

-do not think about wordly matters during prayer

khushu' means presence of heart and mind before Allah. Calmness, humality, and attentiveness. Not merely physical movements.

Values that can be gained from khushu' in salah :

1- Al-Taah (submission and loyalty)

-obedience to Allah with sincerity

-acceptance of Allah's commands

-trains discipline and obedience

-complete submission and loyalty to Allah

-realising that the purpose of life is to worship Allah

2- Al-Jihad (striving in the path of Allah)

-jihad against desires (jihad al-nafs) and distractions, especially in waking up for prayer

-consistency in salah builds strength

3- Muhasabah (self-reflection)

-evaluating actions and intentions

-prostrating to Allah while realising and acknowledge one's many sins

-moment of self-check

-awareness of sins and shortcomings

4- 'Iffah (modesty and self-restrain)

-guarding oneself from sinful acts

-moral integrity inside and outside salah

-true salah influences daily behaviour

5- Tawaddu' (humility)

-recognising dependence on Allah

-removing pride and arrogance

-sujud as the symbol of humility

-realising that our lives are fully dependent on Allah

-submitting and humbling ourselves before our Creator

Impact of khushu' :

-builds strong islamic personality

-improves behaviour and self-control

-strengthens faith (iman)

-purifies the heart

-leads to success in this life and the hereafter.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ١٨٣

1- "O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you"

-it is prescribed specifically for those who have faith

2- "as it was for those before you"

-communities before us also practised fasting

-this shows that fasting is not something new, but a long-established act of worship

-however, their practices differed because they were not Muslims

3-"so perhaps you will become mindful of Allah"

-the purpose of fasting is to develop taqwa (god-consciousness)

-always being mindful before doing anything

-protecting oneself from commiting prohibited and sinful acts

Values gained from fasting :

1-sabr

-fasting tests and strengthens patience

-learning to endure hunger, thirst, and self-control

2-honesty with oneself

-being truthful and sincere, even when no one is watching

-fasting trains inner integrity and accountability before Allah

3-Rahmah (mercy and empathy)

-developing compassion and empathy

-realising that we are not the only ones who suffer

-becoming more aware of those who are less fortunate

week 1 : This usrah session taught me that intention is the foundation of our actions. With sincere intention for Allah, even daily activities can become acts of worship and bring us closer to Him.

week 2 : This usrah session reminded me that the purpose of our creation is to worship Allah. Acts of worship such as ṣalāh, ṣawm, zakāh, and ḥajj help us develop taqwa, sincerity, discipline, and obedience to Him. Through these acts, we learn to control our desires, purify ourselves and our wealth, care for others, and strengthen our relationship with Allah.

week 3 : This session taught me that khushu’ is essential in improving the quality of our prayer. By avoiding distractions, understanding the meanings of recitations, and performing wudu’ properly, we can pray with better focus and strengthen our connection with Allah.

week 4 : This week, I learned that khushu’ in salah brings many important values. It teaches us submission and loyalty to Allah (Al-Taah), striving against our desires (Al-Jihad), self-reflection (Muhasabah), modesty and self-restraint (‘Iffah), and humility (Tawaddu’). Practicing khushu’ strengthens our faith, purifies our heart, improves our behavior, and reminds us that the purpose of life is to worship Allah.

week 5 : This week, I learned from Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 183, that fasting is prescribed for believers to develop taqwa and mindfulness of Allah. Fasting teaches patience (sabr), honesty with oneself, and mercy (rahmah) by helping us control our desires, be sincere, and empathize with those less fortunate. It is a practice that strengthens faith and builds good character.

week 6 : This week we learned that charity erases sins, brings rewards, and the story of Prophet Ayyub (AS) teaches patience and gratitude to Allah.

suggestion improvement :

I think the Usrah session went very well. The timing was suitable, the content was meaningful, and the Usrah assistant explained everything clearly and effectively. But it would be even better if there was a game session to help everyone get to know each other.

wish :

I hope to become a better Muslimah by practicing patience, sincerity, humility, and self-discipline in my daily life, and striving to live in a way that pleases Allah.

form of sadaqah :

-giving wealth

-helping others stay away from wrongdoing

-offering help and assistance

story of Prophet Ayyub AS

He lost his wealth because he was tested with illness, yet remained patient and praised Allah. In the end, Allah multiplied his wealth.

zakah contains spiritual and social dimensions

spiritual dimensions :

1.muslim learn to rely on Allah SWT

2.they feel peace by giving their wealth in obedience to Him

3.they become less attached to material things

social dimensions :

1.builds care and responsibility for the needy

2.promotes unity and togetherness in the community
