I feel like this poem relates to Mama because Mama holds here house and family together.  Mama is the backbone of her family and we see this countless times in the play. Mama keeps the family strong and together witch is what this poem is about.

I believe this because throughout the play Mama is trying to teach Walter money isn't everything. For example the text says "Mama: “Son, how come you talk so much ‘bout money?” Walter: “Because, it is life, Mama!” Mama: “Oh—so now its life. Money is life. Once upon a time freedom use to be life—now its money. I guess the world really do change…” Walter: “No—it was always money, Mama. We just didn’t know about it.” p. 74. Finally at the end Walter told Karl they don't want his money. This shows that Walter finally learned money isn't anything.
