Consumers are animals such as foxes, deer, wolves, ect, that consume plants, or other animals. They cannot produce their own food. Producers are plants such as trees, grass, algae, ect,that can make their own food by using photosynthesis. Detrivores are decomposers such as worms, maggots, fungi, ect, who feed on dead matter.

Water helps animals in the forest stay hydrated, and is also a place that animals can stay. Sunlight helps plants gain glucose and energy, which animals can eat and also gain energy. Soil helps the plants grow, and it is also a place where different organisms can live.

An extinct species means a species which has completely died out and has not been living since. An example of an extinct animal is the woolly Mammoth, which has not been around since about 10,000 years ago. A endangered species is a species that has not yet been extinct, but is on the brink of extinction. An example of an endangered species is the tiger, who is on the brink of extinction. There are only 5,600 tigers still living today. A threatened species is a species facing a risk of extinction in the early future. An example of a threatened species is the elephant, due to a loss of habitat and fragmintation.

Population Increases:

A population increase is when a certain population increases and overpopulates. An example of this is the mountain glorilla, who has increased in population since the 1970s. There are now about 1,000 mountain glorillas existing today.
