I also recognized that the subject prefers to read with a physical copy rather than electronic because from doing that she can be more engaged in the reading activity. However, where you are lacking is analyzation. I believe that your claim would be much stronger if you analyze why is her habit of reading a physical text significant. It is very important to identify the significance of the trend that you are describing because, without it, your report would just be a summary of the information gathered which is what you seem to do currently. The reason why is because I think that the D-E-S is used perfectly in this feedback. The person giving the feedback fulfills the describe part by talking about the details and information in the writer’s writing. For example, the “when you analyze your subject’s writing style” is an example of describing. The evaluate part is when the reviewer talks about how they notice that the writer “did not indicate any significant patterns” and that is criticism. The reason why is because I think the reader didn’t follow the proper instructions of DES entirely but did attempt on one part of it. First of all, they did not describe what they saw from writing, which is an important part of DES, instead they only gave a description about how “the author wants to end the paper with something” which is really confusing. Next, they didn’t do a good job of fulfilling the evaluation part either. They didn’t attempt to give feedback on what they saw from the writing and neither did they try to point out what the writer needs to improve on. However, they did provide a suggestion, “however, if you could write a conclusion paragraph that sums up the paper, it will be much better” and this is a poor delivered but practical suggestion. They suggested the writer to add a conclusion paragraph so that they 
can improve their paper.

The reason why is because this response not only meets the requirements of DES, it also exceeds expectations and is very helpful to the writer. The review starts off with a very in-depth description of what the reviewer sees in the author’s writing. They talked about how the writer could “identify the trend and specify the origin of the trend” well and that they could convey what the “subject” in the writing liked doing. The reviewer also evaluated the writing well, saying how the writing lacked analysis and how better analysis could really help improve the writing’s quality by strengthening their claim. They also provided an evaluation that it is very important to identify the trend of the thing that they’re describing. They’re basically just seeing what’s on the surface instead of really going deep into it and provide for descriptions. Secondly, the evaluation comes as very basic and it doesn’t provide as much help and it could have. The comment doesn't give any evaluations on how well the writing is accomplishing it's goal/follows the rubric. The comment does give a suggestion to how the writer could revise the paper. However the suggestion is very short and doesn't explain how it will make the paper better, give other options for the writer, or explain what is the most important thing to highlight/summarize/focus on in the conclusion of the paper.
