In multiple classrooms, teacher have been picking favorites. This is usual in many cases, however, when this happens, many of the students don't feel included or valued. This creates a toxic environment where people think small jokes at the expense of another is okay. I think teachers could also be more inclusive by asking people's pronouns or having class discussions about recent events.
